Moving out of my rental home in Oro Valley just cost me about $1,750. I broke the lease and was told there would be a $300 lease break fee. My assumption was it was for marketing costs. Like they wouldn't have that at the END of my lease? Anyway there was a $300 fee PLUS a marketing fee of $150. The windows were professionally cleaned December 2012.. Cost me about $45 Nordstrom just had them cleaned AGAIN...knowing I had cleaned them 6 weeks earlier...there cost to me..$120! Carpet and tile cleaning $700. Are you kidding me???? Nope..$700. They charged me $11 to change some burnt out bulbs. To my knowledge non were burnt out. really..bulbs.\r \r I rented from Nordstrom for 36 months..and THIS is how we all were treated..and so YOU too will be treated the same way.\r \r I sold the fridge and some other improvements I made to the owner via Nordstrom..my cost was $700 and I sold them 3 years old for $450. Nordstrom kept the $450 to offset the cost of cleaning and repairs. Repairs?? I lived alone. Non smoker. I fixed up all the walls from nail holes and yet was still charged $100 for ""painting"". Painting what? \r \r It would seem reasonable to me that at some point the owner and agent of the home should take responsibility for cleaning it . What if I had lived in the home 10 years... It would need new carpet and the cabinets would be very worn out. Would that be MY responsibility...no it shouldn't ...but I'm not sure how the law reads in Pima County... Surely SOME wear and tear on a home is NOT the renters fault or cost to fix?\r \r Nordstrom was fine when I was a tenant. I paid my rent on time and after 3 years they kept $1,750 of my money. Shameful behaviour on their part. more

RENTER BEWARE!.. THEY WILL NICKLE & DIME YOU FOR YOUR DEPOSIT UNTIL YOU GET NOTHING BACK OR PAY AS MUCH OUT OF POCKET!!! We rented a property from this company, and they were very nice and came across as a very caring and upstanding company..at first. This was until it was time for us to give our notice for moving out. This is when the horror story began!.. We knew that they required a professional carpet cleaning, but they also require tons of other unnecessary repairs and cleaning services prior to leaving the property, in order for you to get your deposit back. We cleaned the property until it was spotless, basically giving the entire place a fresh coat of paint, professionally cleaned the carpets & tile, and even replaced some broken blinds( that were already showing signs of damage prior to us moving in). The property was in better condition then when it was rented out to us( this is not a exaggeration). We knew that they property needed to be spotless & it was. When the employee come to do a walk through, magically they have a laundry list of items that needed to be replaced or cleaned!!. The fact that they were trying to ""require"" professional services for DUST! (property was empty..we moved), was Mind-boggling & sickening. After trying to work with them, it became increasingly clear that they had every intention of keeping our security deposit!.. When I deciding to air my grievances, I found that other past residents had the very same problem!. They are not a competent company & only rent if you want to loose your deposit. more

Only rent from Nordstrom Group if you intend to donate your security deposit to them. Gave home back better then I received it, carpets professionally done and home cleaned by professionals. They charged me for cleaning the house and carpets again. They also charged me for leaving trash out for garbage collection to pick up (which was 3 days later, I guess you are only allowed to move out on garbage day). When I asked for receipts for the work they claimed to do all I received was estimates from companies not actual invoices. I wish I had the time to take this to court and I hope someone that they rip off will some day! more

Terrible Property Manager 4/20/2012

We found a great house to rent, unfortunately we were assigned ""Salina Hlivko"" (shlivko at nordstromgroup dot com) as our property manager and she has been absolutely horrible. She blows us off consistently and instead of fixing problems with the house (broken locks, window problems, pool issues) she claims to not have received our request. We love our house and hope to find a property manager who can help fix the minor issues we are having. We even agreed to pay an increased rent this year since they promised the house would be fixed so we are obviously frustrated. If you decide to rent a home from Nordstrom Group make sure to request a property manager NOT named Salina to help you with your property. I hope this helps. more

Consummate Professionals 4/3/2012

My company relocated me to Tucson recently and I needed to find a rental home quickly. I arrived in Tucson on a Thursday and by Friday I had viewed 4 homes with this The Nordstrom Group and settled on one before leaving town. I felt well taken care of during what could have been a very stressful time. My experience from the time I made the first call to signing the lease was fantastic. I recommend these folks to anyone looking for a great rental home in the Tucson area. more

Two thumbs up! Highly recommend... 3/1/2012

Don't expect your deposit back because you wont get it 12/6/2009

Just a warning to all those who actually take care of your rentals. No matter how perfect you leave your rental they will create reasons why they should withhold your money. My wife and I were taken for over $1000 by this group and honestly left the property in better condition than when we moved in. DON'T RENT FROM THEM EVER IF YOU EXPECT YOUR DEPOSIT BACK! Pros: Great houses for rent Cons: Scam artists more

Got Extra Cash You Don't Need 7/2/2009

On my move out they deducted almost $400 from my damage deposit to touch up the paint and clean the carpets of an immaculate home (touch up and carpet cleaning were already done thoroughly)-waited 15 business days to return my deposit. Would not answer any correspondence-looks like my only remedy is civil court. Who needs a management group like this-maybe Gitmo. Pros: Nice Website Cons: Rental Agreement, Move Out Inspection, Property Manager more
