Great! 5/10/2011

The ""geniuses"" at the Apple Store tried to charge me $400.00 for fixing a Macbook Air track pad, saying that I had to get the whole lower panel AND upper panel replaced. I took it to Mac Shack and they said it was only a matter of a loose screw and they fixed it in 30 seconds, with no charge. I have my computer back, and I love these people. more

I brought my imac in on a wednesday and they said it would be ready by wednesday of the next week, probably sooner. It is the day before and they are now telling me it is unlikely to be ready by end of day wednesday because they got a lot of rush jobs. Doesn't seem like good business to me. more

Refurbished Apples - No Worms :) 1/17/2010

This was here WAAAAY before the Apple Store came to the 29th Street Mall. The neato thing about this place is that you can easily and cheaply get a refurbished computer here. more

Reply to Anderso1j: This customer actually was not charged for the repair of his ipod that had been dropped in a toilet and was completely corroded from the water inside. We did put a new logic board in the ipod and cleaned up the rest of the corrosion but unfortunately it also needed another part to get it working correctly. We advised the customer it would be cheaper to get a new ipod then it would be to fix his current one. We could have sold him both of the parts which would have been more then a new ipod but we don't want to rip anyone off, so we put his old parts back in and gave him the ipod back with no charge. If ever a customer has any problem you can call and talk with the owner Randy any time he works there and will be happy to help. We have been in business for over 8 years and have thrived because of our great customer service and value. We have many customer service rewards from many local newspapers and have an ""A"" rating with the Bureau for Better Business . I brought my Ipod in to get the jack replaced and they ended up breaking it and charging me for the labor. Their creepy and sell used macs for hilarious prices. more

I like 'em! 1/10/2009

These folks have been my go-to guys for the past five years or so. They have always treated me well, and I depend on my Macs for a living. I come to them for little stuff and have bought two computers from them as well. They always treat me well and have always been able & willing to answer my questions, even when I'm just asking for advice. I guess nobody's perfect, though. more

Avoid - Poor Repairs, Overpriced 12/29/2008

The MacShack did not repair my MacBook Pro after three attempts, and I lost many hours hassling with their shoddy work. To make matters worse, they charged me almost $100 for a 1 GB memory chip that I later learned goes for far less -- like $10. My computer still isn't working properly -- avoid this outfit! Loyal Customer For Years 8/27/2008

I have been a customer of the The Mac Shack for years. Never been disappointed. I work from home and my computer IS my business. I have depended on them several times over the years to get me up and running in as short of a time as possible. Not once have they ever let me down. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. These guys do a great job! Pros: Fast Service, Experienced Staff Cons: None. more

There are two mac repair shops in Boulder, CO. The Mac Shack and Boulder Mac Repair, and both are often confused with each other. The Mac Shack is the only locally owned Apple Authorized Repair Center and Reseller. We have won the Best Of Boulder multiple times, wich is voted upon by local consumers, and have many satisfied customers. EC101, if we did indeed cause any damage whatsoever to your computer bring it in and we will repair it. Worst service 5/28/2008

I came in with a broken CD drive on my Macbook Pro and left with a totally unusable laptop, I'm thinking about taking these guys to court for breaking my $2500 Mac. i know they caused the damage because i took the mac apart and found parts physically broken! more
