Small Children Abound 4/6/2006

The times I have been to a show at the Lincoln recently the place has been full of kids. not small kids, but people under the age of 21. I've felt like Iwas one of the few and the proud who could actually make purchases from the bar. That said, this is a reasonably decent place in raleigh to go see a show (they're arn't many). They get some decent bands and the tickets arn't THAT expensive. more

neat place to see a concert 8/17/2005

they have local bands and some slightly better-known bands at this place. the audience area is sort of tiered balconies, in front of the pit area, so everyone has a chance to get a good view. the sound quality has been good for most shows i went to. get your tickets in advance; one show i tried to get tickets for the night of the show had a line a block long. bar has standard concert bar prices. more

Decent Venue 6/27/2005

Lincoln theater is one of raleighs few locations to catch some live independent bands. Tickets usually go for around $15, and the bands range from signed recording artists to locals just getting their start. Like every good venue, the theater also has a bar where you can drink if the bands get too bad ;O) more

    Built in 1939, the Lincoln Theatre used to be a movie house, showing the best films of the golden age of cinema. For years it remained dormant, occasionally used as a venue for private parties. But as 2001 rolled around, Pat Dickenson and his cohorts had other ideas for this architectural gem. At the beginning of the year, they opened the theater as a venue for larger acts that might have felt cramped in smaller clubs, and the results have been outstanding.
