These apartments have ROACHES and BEDBUGS. The staff is neither helpful nor friendly about fixing these issues. I have been dealing with bedbugs in my apartment for months and I just found out my neighbors are in the same predicament. An exterminator has been to my apartment once in the past month, even though I have been calling the apartment office twice weekly and each time I was lied to by the staff. I have not been able to live in my apartment for what is going on four weeks now and when I confronted the apartment manager about this awful and disgusting situation, she advised me it was not her problem. Also, the front of the complex may look nice, but I live in the back. The lights put up in this area do not even have bulbs. The lights are purely for decorations and there are constant car break ins in this unlit area. The laundry room is hardly cleaned and they took out the door knobs with the lock, so anyone can come into the laundry room. I have done my laundry among sleeping homeless people a few times. Please do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. more

I haven't lived here long . On the other hand it's been to long . Management will tell you anything and do nothing . Maintenance , forget about it ! more

At first appearance, The Lakes Apartments look wonderful. They are set in a beautiful little area, with trees and a stream, and look like the perfect little country apartment homes. There is definitely more than what you see.... First, The Lakes Apartments are located right at a busy intersection, you definitely must get used to dealing with lots of heavy traffic. When I lived there, there was an accident almost daily at that intersection. It was horrible trying to get in and out during busy hours. The worst thing I experienced, while living at The Lakes is a major problem with mice. They explained it away as field mice, coming in when it got chilly. They came in, without my knowing, and put poison out for the mice. Well, I had a baby... and kept my floors spotless, because he was in the crawling stage, and was all over the floor and putting everything in his mouth. You can imagine my horror when I found mice dying on my floors... blood coming out, from the poison! I was outraged! The Lakes is one of the higher end apartment complexes, as far as what you pay to live there. I expected much better than what I received for my money. more
