The Hideout is a cool bar. It's a cool bar because although you don't have to go down a backalley and know a secret handshake to get inside, it is very difficult to find. There are two neon signs out front and a faintly etched stencil into the door that give it away, but otherwise The Hideout is dark from the outside. Inside, however, is a long bar, a long plastic booth with tables, and art everywhere. This is primarily true because The Hideout is an arts inclined hangout. On any busy night, keep quiet for a second and you will hear a conversation about art or the latest opening. While this can sometimes come off as pretentious or boring, there are a lot of down to earth regulars, and the bartenders are friendly. Also, the Jukebox, which doubles as an Art for Sale book, plays free songs which can always make a bad night better. Just finding the place is enough to improve anyone's sense of accomplishment, so checkout The Hideout, or at least give it a shot.
