Try it once and you'll keep going back when you're in the area. It's a great place to have a drink (or 10) and watch a game. Very European ambiance and good live music unless they are too loud and the building alarm goes off. Lots of TVs.....would be a great place to catch some of the Olympic events this summer!!! more

Walking around The Grove stumbling upon The Grove Spot right behind Cocowalk, we noticed the big outside porch and all day breakfast sign, in a nutshell food was great (bangers & eggs, and the breakfast sandwich), very much a price quality deal, good coffee and friendly sometimes slow service, but sitting outside who cares about being in a hurry? Went back for drinks and best happy hour prices in the Grove, great locals cafe, the right name!! more

The Grove Spot is the worst bar in The Grove! They offer the worst service, food, and live entertainment in Miami! The bands are the most talentless I have ever seen while almost the loudest I have ever heard. It's terrible. The staff are a flock of retards that never get anything right. I have never puked so violently until I ate there. The city should shut this shithole down! more

We tried breakfast here and not impressed. It took forever to get a basic two-egg scramble with some toast and the place had very few customers. more

For the most part everything we have tried here is good. The prices are generally reasonable, and the house red ale is good. The problem which prevents this place from being truly great is the management.\r \r The management seems ti cgange happy hour deals and specials daily. Sometimes happy hour is at 5, sometimes its at 7 sometimes they have happy hour on the weekends, sometimes they don't. Sometimes they only have a limited menu of about 7 items including items like quesadillas, buffalo chicken sandwiches and philly cheesesteak, and other times they have the full menu available, but none of the items on the limited menu can be ordered. Once we tried to order a side of spinach with a sandwhich, and the waitress absolutely refused to sell it to us because apparently extra sides may only be purchased if you order specific dinner plates off of a specific portion of the menu. Advertised specials and deals are NEVER accurate, and so they have caused a great deal of frustration and dissapointment.\r That being said, the food is still good, and the prices are still good. It's just a matter of tolerating their nonsensical rules regarding menu items and the complete lack of consistancy with happy hour and specials... Its a crap shoot. more

Everything we had at the Grove Spot was excellent. I almost did not order the Pork Tenderloin b/c this cut tends to be dry. I was pleasantly surprised by how tender, moist, and flavorful it was. The "mushroom sauce" exceeded my expectations, since it was an interesting departure from the usual. The sauce, lingonberries, and house potatoes all harmonized perfectly with the pork. Their Red Ale added the finishing touch. The Ahi tuna was sweet, moist, and seared rare just as requested. My only disappointment was that they were out of Bitterballs, another Dutch specialty at this wonderful place, but that will be our next item to try with that great Ale! Also, they offer a Dutch style breakfast item which I have not seen anywhere else and look forward to trying. What a great place to hang on that great porch for breakfast in flip flops and shorts! more

Prices are pretty reasonable and food was ok. They have some good deals on beer. Only been once on the fly but am willing to give it another try....seems like a cool place to have coffee or even some cocktails. I was there on a Tuesday and it was a low key, nice vibe....but I can see it being a great happy hour place that you can actually have drinks & conversation without having to scream over loud music...which might just be what you want depending on your company ; ) more

Just had an amazing tasting meatloaf dinner. The service was just fine, friendly and fast, and priced very reasonable. Seeing some of the other reviewers comments I wonder if Matt Glass ate at the same place as me or many of the others. The gravy delicious, and right consistency of the meatloaf and mashed potatoes made it a great food experience. No, were not at Ruth Chris's, we were at a neighborhood pub that serves great food as well as a great dose of atmosphere. I for one, will keep going back there anytime I'm "in the Grove" more

I enjoy going to The Grove Spot. They have a great breakfast menu and a an awesome PINT NIGHT promotion every Thursday night.\r \r You can even purchase a custom-etched "Grove Spot" glass for only $6.00 and bring it back every Thursday night for $1.50 on Domestic Beers and $2.50 on imports. They also have this great tasting house beer called the Grove Ale. more

We'll start with the good, the beer was fair priced. The tuna on my salad was good. Now to the bad, The reuben sandwich was so-so and didn't have enough Russian dressing. Then when we asked for more they charged .75 for two extra teaspoons of it. The "world class" fries were not world class and lacked seasoning. It is mostly a watering hole with some food to help soak up the booze. Cheap beer, mediocre food. more

We went for lunch. The service was terrible. We had to get ou own silverware and napkins. The server did not ever ask to refill our water. The food was presented poorly, almost thrown. A for flavor my steak sandwich had no flavor and my wife's salad was mediocre at best. The price would have been acceptable for a quality meal, bit we foun it way over priced for what we received. Thi is probably more of a bar than a restaurant. more
