It's about time that a great club/lounge opened up on the ues. I've been to The Grand numerous times and everytime, whether i get bottle service or not, has turned into an awesom...

Worst

Crappy staff, tiny, poorly lit, it was a terrible experience. You will ruin your night here. I will never go back to this place. Pros: nothing Cons: too many to list, see ...

Monkeys could do a better job of running a club. 1/1/2009

Worse bartenders ever! 4/26/2008

I wont write about bottle service and all. I will tell a situation where a regular person is trying to get a drink at the bar. Bartenders are money hungry and even though i always tip this time around itch didnt deserve a penny. I was totally disappointed and if not it being a beginning of the night i would of taught her a lessen. Just imagine you asking her for a straw that she knew i dont have to even ask for (its suppose to be in my daymn glass already)...and because she wasnt tipped just yet she threw it in my drink. I swear i would of smashed her face. I wish i dont see her there next time. It was unprofessional especially when she decided to nastily explain WHY she threw straws in my drink showing me attitude. She got lucky we were in a club...hahaha Dont know her name. All i know she is asian. And she usually stand at the bar where coat check is at on a left hand side. Ewww i hate running into hooches that degrade a club that should have more stars in rating. Pros: Music, location, nice bouncers Cons: Bartenders attitudes more

THE GRAND RUINED MY 25TH BIRTHDAY 3/20/2008

The door girl Deena was rude I don't know if she was upset because she was ugly or what but she told me that my guestlist was no longer valid and only bottle service mattered. She harrassed my guests to buy bottles even though I agreed to purchase (5) $300 bottles. She did not allow my guest inside and I had to cancel my party with 100 people on their way to the club. This was the worst club that I have ever been to in my life. Cons: Rude unprofessional and money hungry more

NEVER GO THERE! 2/2/2008

Here was my situation.\r \r It was my 22nd bday. I was celebrating at The Grand with a large group of girls with bottle service. My bf arrives somewhat later with 2 of his guy friends. The person at the door would not let them in without buying another bottle($400 each). After telling the bouncer that they were on the guestlist, that I already have a bottle downstairs, that i brought a huge group of girls, that it's my birthday and that that was my boyfriend, the bouncer still would not let them in without shelling out another $400. \r \r Now here's the kicker. HE THROWS ME OUT OF MY OWN PARTY AND WON'T LET ME BACK IN. \r \r They have the WORST management. Real UNJUST bs!!! \r \r Thanks for ruining my birthday! Cons: Terrible management. more

Avoid Grand 1/6/2008

This place seems nice and trendy and it is. but too expensive for no reason. 20 dollars to get in and I was on the bday list, drinks are super weak and are like 15 bux. First time going there last night, and theeeeee last!!!! It's best to stick to the lounges/clubs on the west side. waaay better. The crowds are whack and there is no mix of ppl. Everyone looks the same and is the same. If you want to have fun don't ever step foot in Grand. Pros: My cab ride home Cons: everything, atmosphere, the people at the door, music was crappy..... more

WATCH YOUR DRINK AND YOUR COAT!!! 12/10/2007

Went to the club for the first time for my friend?s birthday party - $25 just to get in. The bouncers and the staff were nice and we got in very quickly. Dropped about $250 on a round of drinks and shots for my friends ? pretty expensive drinks.\r \r Went to the bathroom, I am pretty sure I got something put in my drink! My friend took me home but forgot my jacket in the coat check. I Called the next day with my coat-check number, but they said that it isn?t there and there isn?t anything they can do. I tried to understand how this could happen, but the girl on the phone said that she didn?t know and that?s it, if I spoke to anyone else they would have hung up in my face. So pretty, much don?t leave your jacket there or it?s a free for all for whoever works there! \r \r Total cost of the night at The Grand = $650. I would not go back to a business that lets jackets disappear, under their supervision, in less then 12 hours. Unfortunate and not professional! Pros: Good vibe, music, friendly staff Cons: Expensive drinks, got something put in my drink and the club took my jacket more

Breeze getting in.... 7/3/2007

Met up with a few friends for a post bachelorette party so it was around 12:30/1 and a long line (actually 2, not sure why) anyway we had no problem jumping to the front and the guys at the door let us right in. Once inside it was a bit of a mixed crowd. We had a table and there was an overflow of other patrons crowding in on us which was a pain but it's a NYC club so I really can't complain.\r \r Drinks were okay nothing amazing and the service was fine. I have to admit that the dancing would have much better if it was not so ill designed. The sofas did take up a huge chunk of the dance floor and left people crowded.\r \r Overall okay scene, however, I would not wait in line to get in. Pros: Good music & friendly service Cons: not enough dance space more

Finally an Upper East Side Hot Spot 5/13/2007

It's about time that a great club/lounge opened up on the ues. I've been to The Grand numerous times and everytime, whether i get bottle service or not, has turned into an awesome night. The crowd is jip(especially the waitresses) and consists of beautiful upper east side girls and the TAO overflow. Drinks are great and averagely priced for a club (people below me, if you want cheap drinks go to the hard rock or cheapshots). The Grand plays incredible music and the doormen are friendly. The lines have been getting longer and longer over the year as people have realized that Meatpacking isn't the only area with hot clubbing. I love The Grand, it's truly an upper east side gem. One thing to be careful about, check your bill, they've overcharged me a few times, though once you point it out, they're chill about it. Pros: Vibe, Service, people Cons: check your bill twice more

Its so pretty here, but the attitude could use some work. The bartenders and cocktail waitresses are beautiful, but the prices are super expensive. Pros: Ambiance, Music, Crowd Cons: Service, Expensive more
