The SceneSome mourn this space as the former home of the grungy music club Lounge Ax, but life goes on and newcomer Gramercy has moved in. It's an ultra-modern place, cleanly outfitted with white walls and booths plus steel accents. Lighting is dim, but you can make out a waterfall shimmering down the metal plates behind the front bar. Euro-lounge and techno gurgle from white speakers in the background. The crowd ranges from tricked-out, hip young folks to professionals whose idea of evening wear is khaki shorts. The DrawThere's no cover, and fine bottles of bubbly (Cava, Pommery), international wines and martinis are priced to please at two bars. From the limited menu, a tasty pork chop with polenta is priced at a reasonable $9. The Gramercy martini is creamy andpineapple-y (the charming staff like it as a shot).
