The Cuff Complex

I've gone to the other gay bars of Seattle and I've made the Cuff my home bar, followed up by Mad pub. It's a mans bar, where you can go with friends and have a good time. It's not a debutante bar, nor trashy, it's down to earth west coast casual dress/blue collar fun. Weekends you will find guys in their leather/levi's/harnesses/cowboy/Nasty Pig gear. The dance floor gets hot and heavy by 11pm on the weekends. Happy hour from 5-8pm m-thurs is great too, half price appetizers, anyone for some pool, beer, and 3 dollar baskets of chicken strips with friends? It's awesome. To the straight women you are welcome to come, and yes us gays know how to party hardy. But honey don't get out-of-line tapping your stiletto at me thinking you are gonna be treated like a royal princess, it's a guys bar. If it doesn't smell pretty like your powder room at home you don't have to be there and don't complain to us. Go to Pioneer Square or Belltown if you want guys to worship the ground you walk on ladies We'll call you out on your outfit for being last season if you give us attitude, you have no power over us. And if you bring your bf, he should be comfortable with getting hit on by other guys and if he wants to start trouble with it, be prepared to be asked to leave or 86ed. The bar was ok the gay men were not wed 4/28/10 the bars wer dead in seattle .. I am sure other gay men are getting tired of the seattle attitude I seen some liquor control violations at another bar .. I f I cannot meet any one at the bars after been going for them for 10 years I will just becomea spotter for the liquor board many ways to skin a cat.. Cuff bears rude chase customers out to not come back any more.. Meet more nice men at striaight with this stuff economy these businesses watch out are barand grill just outside seattle down 40per cent more

You have to enter through the bear bar up front. These guys have not had a bath in weeks and are so proud of the stiff smell of bo floting through the front bar. Crowded on sundays but tends to only be patronized by bar flies. Cliques everywhere. People are not approchable. Bartenders serve cheap vodka you will regret the next day. Nice light show that is cheapend by cheap decor and lights on the wall. If you go by yourself, youre on your own. You won't meet any people. I do love this place.People are really cool and very well dress (good sense of fashion ) and very good looking guys .I think it is the best spot of the area specially the bar and dance floor . more

Sunday T Dance is good, inexpensive drinks all day and in the summer, cheap hamburgers. Mondays have free games. Saturday before 11pm is good after that it's life in a gay sardine can. However you probably won't be drinking very much. $6.25 for a well cocktail is just a bit pricey, on top of $3 cover charge! I still go the Cuff. Its one of the better places. This place is a great hangout. The drinks are adequate, beer is cheap. It?s a huge bar, you can really walk around and change it up. The outdoor patio is huge and is a great spot to socialize without trying to shout over the music. The bar shows prOn which is a great distraction for unwanted conversations. Sundays ramp up and this is the spot ? packed and thumping! more

Reading the old reviews, I'd suggest that they revisit the Cuff Complex. I was there on a Sunday recently and the Tea Dance was unbelievably fun. It starts at 4 PM, the DJ had no problems with all the requests I gave him and the format was a combination of 70's 80's 90's AND the current hot dance music over the afternoon and night (til 2AM.) The staff was friendly as were the bartenders. And what a great sound system! Still the best gay bar in Seattle. Pros: Great music, great DJs. Cons: There's no after hours on Sundays. i have been going to the Cuff since i moved here and it remains my favorite club. on many occassions i have danced till i dropped. i have checked out all the other clubs in seattle but i always feel most comfortable at the cuff, the men are men and if you just want to cruise, thats cool, or if you strike a conversation with a new friend you can do that easily. i will continue to enjoy the cuff and it will stay on my hot list as long as its around. this club rivals the best in the u.s. , i have been to Ft. Laud, Miami Bch, New York, Atlanta, Key West, Ptown, LA, etc and the Cuff has all the right stuff! Pros: cool people, hot men, packed house Cons: none more

The Cuff used to be THE place for Men (with a CAPITAL M) to meet in Seattle. In the past 2 years, it has been in a rapid and sad decline. New STRAIGHT owners came in and fired almost all the staff, who were greatly responsible for creating the success of the establishment. The only things going for it are a great environment, nice outdoor patio, and it is STILL the place to go on Pride Day for the massive street party. I used to go to the Cuff 2-3 times a week. Recently the Cuff has made major changes. All for the bad. Different Bartenders and the feel is all wrong. Used to be fun BUT no more. Lousy service, lousy drinks, and lousy music. You can do better at other bars in town. Cons: , Lousy Music more

The Cuff is a great laid back gay bar. It is unpretentious, unlike some of Seattle's other gay bars. It is big, and has plenty to do. The scene is pretty mixed. Mondays have free pinball and games, and a great low key time to unwind at the Cuff. Pros: Laid Back, Service, Value Cons: Cover more

When did customer service fall out of the structure for operating a bar, dance club, and lounge? If anyone knows customer service it's the gay community-but The Cuff has fallen into a very self serving rut. Request a song-sorry, you're stuck with whatever "trend" the DJ assigns themself to. this is the place if you want to just relax with friends or cruise a bit. there is someone for everyone here leather twink and everything in between. the staff puppy and daddy jeff are the greatest hosts you guys rock!!! and larry is the greatest bartender always smiling and pours some fantastic drinks!!!! more

I have to admit, I'm not gay and I'm a chick. My sister is gay and so is my brother. We all like to meet here with our significant others and hang out and dance. This is a great place. To me, The Cuff Compex provides several great bar areas to cruise and mingle. I always find lots of hot men to cruise or just to chat with. I love shooting darts and then hanging out in the back bar or on the Dog Run or Patio. The NX3 Tea Dance was a blast - WOOF! The Cuff is gay owned and has a great staff and is always giving back to the gay communnity. The Cuff is a great Men's bar! more
