Im a 53 yr old man with a alcohol problem. Im having a hard time to get the aftercare help . see sencei have a disability I was born with tourettes/ADHD and have to take meds. to function normal .but I can get a college ed. work in the new car dealerships as a mgr. for 26 years and payed taxes on 95000. yr. I am mostly a father of to young girls .I started drinking 3 yrs ago after a bad divorce . and at age 5 was tested to be a dyselexia mirror reader and over came all of this . now I went to a 28 day rehab and got out 2 weeks ago I was set to go to extended aftercare here in houston I need 3 mouth more treatment so that I have a better chance on staying sober DARS set me to go in for 90 days and on the phone apt. with them they ask me about any meds and I told them all the info I have been under DR care every 90 days all of my life some of the best DRs in houston it dont seem that this is ok for treatment center funded by texas TRC and the VA can not give me the right to get help , and im not the only one here so if i go back drinking can you tell the girls daddy is sorry he is not here to make it I come from a good fammily my father was the owner of three new car dealerships and one we owned for 47 years . i guess ill try again as long as i can stay sober . if I have to go up as high as TRC I will and maybe a father with a teen that has got in to trouble with drug or drinking but has ADHD or a med problem wont have this problem. and if texas lets small operationtions like EAI stay open I know that I have the same rights as any other person . Thanks for help. \r \r \r \r \r more
