It wasn?t a fun night at all 2/10/2009

I usually stay away from the Cheesecake factory because I don?t like the cult of the masses. My friends seem hypnotized by a spell compelling them to go there al the time. Like a good friend, I finally caved in and went with them to the location in the Grove. I ordered the four cheese pasta which sounded like an easy enough selection. I think the restaurant sensed I was immune to its spell because even though I was one of the first to order, my dish came last after everyone dug in already. more

Worst Experience 11/20/2008

I personally think Cheesecake is overrated...although usually good food and service are provided. however, on my last trip to the brentwood cheesecake factory i was furious. My friend had to convince me to try it out, and promised brentwood always has great service. It took 10 minutes to seat us when there were clearly 100 open tables. We waited for 30 minutes for WATER, and even longer for our waitress to actually come and talk to us. She didnt care about us at all and we even over heard her and another waiter arguing over who was going to take tables because they were so ""slammed,"" mind you-it was not busy at all. When we finally go our meal it was terrible, my burger was overcooked and my friends pasta was something we couldve microwaved. Not only that but the drink i ordered was terrible. When my friend complained to the manager he gave him a look like, ""what do you want me to do?"" So he comped our 2 drinks, and when i ran out of water and needed something to drink he pulled the margarita out of my hand before i could take a sip. NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I GO TO A CHEESECAKE FACTORY, ever! Pros: Beautiful fountain outside Cons: Wait staff are rude, food is under par, blond manager is an a$sh0le! more

A big group dinner place 6/27/2008

Though I've had mixed experiences (slow service, even food poisioning) at other Cheesecake Factory locations, the Brentwood location has always been a reliable bet. I like the Cheesecake factory especially because they offer a huge menu selection, so it's perfect for a large party since everyone can find something they like. My favorite part happens to be the bread, and ff course, the Cheesecake is incredibly rich- this is not a diet place, but it sure is good. I've sighted some celebs dining here Pros: selection more

Two weeks of trainig? 6/10/2008

I was not very impresed with this restaurant!! I heard the waiters and waitres take 2 weeks of training. What do they learn??? The waitres had an attituted like she was doing us a favor in serving us. Then when I ask for the check it took forever to get it and she brought the wrong check. We waited a long time to be seated.....Well not anymore as I will never go back to any cheescake factory in the country. At one point I was thinking buying stock of this company. I'm glad I didnt! Pros: Nothing Cons: They need to work on their service skills more

Check out the Happy Hour 6/11/2007

Good food at good prices. Service in the bar was great. Make sure you get there at 4 if you want to sit with a big group. Pros: Price for what you get Cons: Limited Hours; Can get crowded fast more

Awful Dining Experience 12/30/2006

Although the food is what you'd expect from this Vegas-inspired absurdity, the service is perhaps the worst I've ever experienced. Our server had no hospitality skills with a bad personalty to match, rarely did we see her, having to call over others to help us. If it weren't for the other peopIe I was with, I would have walked out. I should have re-gifted my Cheesecake Factory gift card to an anonymous stranger, or perhaps lost it. more

I don't understand why people like this place so much. 8/12/2006

The only reason I went here was because my friend wanted to go. This was my first Cheesecake Factory experience and I have to say I was not impressed. The place is huge but it took forever to get seated. The decor on the inside is horribly gaudy, however the outdoor patio is somewhat nicer. It was a little bit chilly out and it took forever to get someone to light the patio heater at our table. The menu is overwhelming and I was offended that every other page is an advertisement! Pros: Nice Server, Decent Dessert Cons: Gaudy Decor, Average Food, Uninspired Menu more

Fun, great food, but a little overpriced 7/2/2006

I love going to Cheesecake Factory with friends for a luncheon or early dinner, but would never go from 7-8. Seating at that time is horrendous, so go on the off hours for promt seating. The food is really great (the Macaroni and Cheese is to die for!), but a bit overpriced for what it is. The indoor floor is great for large parties or kids, and the outside patio is perfect for a romantic evening. Cheesecake isn't the only thing this place has to offer. Pros: Great food, ambience Cons: A little crowded, slightly overpriced more

Cheese says it all 3/8/2005

I am still amazed by the success of the Cheescake Factory - perhaps its the name - but the name says it all - they're only good for Cheesecake. Everything else is pretty standard stuff, and not worth the price. It's like a high-end family restaurant - and that's all. more

cheesecake specialty that's all 6/11/2004

The cheesecake is the highlight of this cheesecake factory. The service wasn't above average, and my chicken alfredo tasted like rubberbands dipped in alfredo sauce. I usually don't complain or talked bad in my reviews, but I've had better food, service and overall satisfaction elsewhere. Pros: cheesecake more

Sorrow at Disaster 9/30/2002

This was one of the best chains in LA for years and the Brentwood location outdoors one of our favorites - we ate here more than any other restaurant year after year. The whole chain is now suffering and rapidly going into the pits. The food quality is really suffering. Seems like they're cutting back on meat in salads, and the ribs which used to be great are now horrible. The decline seems to be coincident from the company going public. Got too big for them to manage? Corporate mentality crept in? I don't know but I'm not going back soon - what a shame! We're very sad to see this happen - I hope someone realizes what happened and can bring them back - Help! more

Cheesecake on the Marina 9/7/2002

My first cheesecake factory experience was in FL with 11 family members. All 12 of us thought our own meal was the best. The one is SF is great on top of the Macy building. I've been to many in CA and my favorite one is this one in Redondo because of the patio seating atmosphere. You are outdoors but it is warm and you sit with big marina boats as your view. Be sure after you eat your yummy meal you save room for one of the killer cheesecake slices. I love C.F. across america ! Pros: valet parking, view of the harbor, great food Cons: a bit of a wait more
