Positively Spectacular Dinner & Martinis 4/8/2008

Took my girlfriend for her birthday last Friday night along with two other couples, and was extremely surprised by how great the food was. We had been going to the apartment for drinks late night for a while now, and finally got a chance to try out the kitchen. Highly recommend the Miso Butterfish, and the truffled mac and cheese with smoked sausage....YUM! I agree with the other reviews that this place gets really crowded and noisy on weekend nights, but our server was very friendly, and even bought us a round of shots. Taking my co-workers this week for dinner, I'm sure they'll enjoy it as much as we did. Pros: Food/Stong Drinks and Nice Staff, hot looking crowd Cons: Tough to find parking in Belltown more

Positively the BEST STEAK I've Had In Seattle! 2/19/2008

Great Valentines day dinner for me and my girlfriend last week. Went here on a recommendation from a coworker and to say the least we were very impressed with our dinner and the friendliness of our server. Although packed for dinner, we were greeted promptly and got a great table. (Recommendation if you come here ask for a booth in advance-we got lucky I think). We had the Chilean Sea Bass and a 14oz Ribeye Steak which I think was better than Jaks and Gaucho combined! It came with perfectly cooked ouzo and balsamic greens. We will most definitely be back with our friends soon. Very hip crowd as well. Pros: Steaks, People Watching, Hip, Strong Drinks Cons: None I can think of but parking in Belltown stinks more

Great New Year's Eve Dinner Party! 1/10/2008

I've been to the apartment several times before coming for New Years with 8 friends this year. Although packed to the walls, our dinner was timely and fabulous! Most of us had the Filet Mignon or the Jumbo tiger prawns which where as big as mini lobsters. The bar was happenin all night as usual, and the owner and staff were having a great time along with us. We'll definitely keep coming back. A+ Pros: Bar scene and the food is wonderful! Cons: Noisy and tough to find parking in Belltown more

Great Food, Great Drink...This is a hot spot on the weekends! 11/13/2007

I was in the Apartment Bistro last weekend and had an outstanding time. Food and drinks were great and the staff was friendly. If your looking for a hot spot in Belltown to go Friday or Saturday night I would check this place out. Pros: Food, Drinks, Location more

Positively Great Dinner this weekend! 11/12/2007

Although quite busy and a tad noisy, this hip bistro and bar won over me and all 8 of my friends last Friday. Our server was both attentive and chatty, and the cocktails and food both creative, chicly presented and flavorful....fresh black cod and the maple bourbon chicken were standouts. This bistro's vodka selection is out of this world too! My girlfriend had a Pluot/plum martini which was spectacular. We will all go back there soon. 10 out of 10. Pros: Drinks were super and strong, food was spectacular Cons: crowded more

Still the hottest bistro in Belltown! 11/6/2007

Last Friday, although packed we sat for our reservation at the apartment (10 of us) and had the best dinner me and my friends have had in months. The staff was friendly, the drinks strong and well crafted, and the food out of this world. Cudos to the owner and staff for keeping the quality way up, and the atmosphere so happening! Pros: Drinks, Food, Staff pretty much everything Cons: Parking more

Positively Fabulous Dinner Last Saturday! 4/23/2007

I don't usually write about restaurants online but my sister's birthday party at the apartment last Saturday night changed that. From the ambiance to the food and the service, everything was A++. Very modern presentation on all our dishes. We met the owner who was gracious and made sure our drinks were perfect, even creating a martini named after my sister. No joking we got there for our 7pm reservation for ten of us, and stayed the entire night it was so much fun. Whoever chooses the music for weekends gets an A+ too. We will definitely be back. Pros: Food, Ambiance, strong drinks! Cons: no parking, sometimes too packed more

Gret time! 3/21/2007

Great music and people watching. We loved the flavored vodkas. I had the cucumber I think ! lol Delicious food and desert. I have been several times and always enjoyed this place. It's smaller and kinda crowded but well maintained and friendly. Pros: atmosphere, drinks, music, friendly staff Cons: parking if you dont live in Belltown! more

Why Hadn't I Been Yet? 1/25/2007

My girldfriend and I must have walked by the apartment a dozen times before finally stopping in for dinner this past Saturday night. Although packed already @ 7pm, the host was prompt and gracious in securing us a booth towards the back. After 4 pineapple vodka martinis we settled in to our booth for one of the most surprisingly excellent meals we've had in Seattle in some time. Nothing about this restaurant really made us feel like we were still in Belltown, but rather in a ultra modern bistro somewhere in New York or London. I had an almost flawless Flatiron Steak, while my girlfriend tried one of their nightly specials, a Hawaiian Opakapaka whcih we recently tried while on vacation there, but had never seen it on a menu here in Seattle. The only drawback to speak of was the high noise level in this small restaurant, but given it was Saturday night, and all of Belltown seeming to fill their bar, there's probably not much they can do about it. Very hip and fun evening, we most definitely be back to try more of their menu. Pros: Scene, design, FOOD, MARTINIS, prettly much everything Cons: Noise more

GREAT NEW YEARS DINNER EXPERIENCE 1/19/2007

Upon a recommendation from a friend we brought a group of people to the apartment for New Years Eve. Given their size, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food given their kitched looked quite small. My husband had the whole steamed crab, and I had the fillet (which was cooked perfectly to temperature). Drinks were strong and well crafted, which is nice to find in Belltown. Around 10pm the restaurant filled to capacity, which made it a bit noisy, but definitely fun for New Years. HIGHLY RECOMMEND checking it out. more

Kind of Disappointing 12/31/2006

First bad food experience in Seattle...People and place were nice. The music and atmosphere were cool but NOT for the new year. Cocktails were also disappointing...tried at least 6 different ones to drown out the disappoint felt that we chose this place for new year. Who knows maybe this place is fun on non-holiday occassions to have drinks and hang out but would not recommend for a new year bash... Pros: Cool atmosphere for hanging out Cons: food and not the ideal place for new year more

Even though our server was nice the food was terrible and gross 12/31/2006

Overall, our experience here was very bad. Being new to the Seattle, we decided to go to the Apartment for New Year's Eve after being suckered by their false advertisement. The food was not good the atmosphere was wannabe New York (which falls beyond short) and everything was overpriced. After being told that they were highly "booked" and we had to arrive early b/c they were so busy, we got there only to see that there were 6 other patrons in this lame, EMPTY, wannnabe bistro. $200 later, we were being rushed out of our booth for their "busy" schedule, when in fact it was still pretty empty, lame, and not fun. Terrible, terrible New Year's location. Overpriced, bad food, and the atmosphere is simply not fun. There was supposedly to be dancing later but the place is small and I am not sure how they managed the "dancing" as we left given the experience we had. Would recommend doing something better with your time and money - go somewhere where you can leave feeling like it was worth the cost. Pros: Server was nice Cons: Not what they claimed, food was really bad, and the drinks were overpriced and not very good more

Awesome EVERYTHING, but try the salmon. 4/10/2006

I went there with my husband, and two friends. They were friends with the chef. The atmosphere was awesome, the wine phenominal and the service fantastic. I ordered the salmon, one friend ordered the chicken & my husband & the other friend ordered the steak. Let me tell you, the salmon was so tender, juicy and perfectly prepared that EVERYONE was eating my salmon. It was the communal salmon. I highly recommend it. Go early, stay late. more

A Great Night Out 4/5/2006

After eating here I have to say the food was amazing and the service was equally so. We went on a weekend so it got a bit noisy around 10 due to its small size, but still it had a great ambiance. My date had the flatiron steak which was perfectly cooked, and I had the Halibut special which was just as good if not better than Flying Fish next door. Try the infused martinis, they had one the night we were there that our server said was directly from the Pike Place Market. Drinks are priced at average Belltown prices. Definitely worth the trip. Pros: FOOD, DRINKS, AMBIANCE Cons: NOISE more

Could be a great place.... 9/24/2005

We had a perfectly wonderful evening here... delightful server, perfect cocktails and meal... until they started setting a table for another party that included our booth. One would think that a $200 bill would afford us the luxury of enjoying our booth from 5:30 until 7:30. Aparently not. The manager and bar tender started setting up for the next party before we were done with our meal, including clearing plates that we were not done with. In spite of our dirtly looks and comments, they continued. Until the manager and his staff learn better manners, we will not be back. We were absolutely disgusted with their behavior. more

Great Birthday! 9/5/2005

I had been to Apartment Bistro before for their fun drinks but decided to celebrate my 29th birthday there as well. The food was wonderful as was the service. The halibut was amazing and so much better than many area seafood restaurants in the area. I told the manager I was expecting a large group later for drinks, and despite the tights spaces, he did everything to accomodate us all. I can't wait to go back there again! Pros: Food and drinks, Friendly service, Atmosphere Cons: Small and crowded, Loud, Parking more
