Thai Beer has many tasty dishes and cooks them up fast. This is a small restaurant with very little seating or decor. Parking is difficult... more

Best Thai food in West LA 1/26/2009

Thai-Beer has flavorful well-prepared dishes. Not every entree is spicy and the waitress will help first timers order to "your liking." Our children enjoy the chicken satay because they can eat chicken dipped in peanut sauce on long sticks. The Thai iced tea is flavorful, cold and sweet. The parking isn't too bad for the area. I recommend Thai Beer to anyone who wants to try great Thai food. more

Good Thai 10/5/2007

After driving past here for years, my boyfriend and I decided to give this place a shot and we loved it. The chicken is all white meat which we loved. Our advice, avoid the thai iced tea. We got sick after realizing the half & half they use for the tea was sitting outside. The parking is bad too! Bottomline, service is good, food is good, parking & thai iced tea is bad. more

Discovered this Thai Beer driving by, having been regulars at the Thai Beer on Santa Monica in WLA. We found out there is no connection, but decided to stay anyway. Well, sorry to the owners of the other (closed)Thai Beer, but this place is many times better. This place is consistently delicious. Fresh ingredients, tasty, and inexpensive. I look forward to each time I'm near Marina to eat here. I live in Santa Monica where the pickings are no match for Thai Beer. There are lots of thai restaurants in the area, but this one is so good (and I know Thai food well) that we seldom try the others (which don't match up). Pros: fresh, tasty, quick, inexpensive Cons: out of the way (for me) more

Great Thai Food: Fast Delivery 11/29/2006

When I lived in LA, my roommates and I would sometimes get delivery from Thai Beer twice a day. When you can depend on a good pad see ew being in your mouth ten minutes after the idea of a good pad see ew being in your mouth crosses your mind, you've got something very special. Pros: Fast Delivery Cons: Parking more

Great value and taste 11/11/2006

Thai Beer is a nice low-key place to have some really tasty Thai food. The prices are very reasonable considering how good the food is. My g/f and I have been here 5 times. 4 times the food was just excellent. 1 time the food was average - not sure what was up that day. The soups (tom ka ga and tom yum) and beef penang are my favorites, but everything I've tried is good. The service is very friendly. I say its "low-key" because its not fancy and its the type of place you could show up in jeans and a t-shirt and not feel out of place. I'd also say it's a little off the beaten path - in a small strip mall and it's probably frequented mostly by locals from the surrounding area (Marina del Rey, West LA, Culver City). I highly recommend and I know I'll be coming back here time and time again. By the way, I probably wouldn't recommend for a 1st date, but 2nd or 3rd would be fine. Pros: Excellent value (quality & price), very friendly service, casual Cons: Very limited parking more

The food is invariably top notch (every dish, every time), the service friendly. Dishes are fresh, tasty, and made to your liking. The only downside is the location (strip mall, and far from me). Pros: quality and freshness of food more

Best Thai Food in West LA 8/24/2006

Go to Thai Beer when you are hungry for GREAT Thai food. The Fisherman's Seafood Chowder and Sizzling Beef & Spinach are amazingly good. It's located in a crappy strip mall with bad parking on Washington, just east of Lincoln, so you go for eating. The price is great for the quality and the large servings. The veggie dishes are nice and spicy, but they really shine with seafood. A+ Thai Food!! more

A great place to eat well 2/21/2004

Thai beer on Washington is very relaxed. Have you ever wanted to find a every occasion resturant, well this place is it. The one place that has that environment that fits your needs. A place to take a date without spending 50 bucks, but you feel like you have. A place to take friends and hang out and chill. A place to go to when you just want to eat and read a book. The food is great and the portions are big. You never leave hungry, and the staff is great. Best Tom Ka Kai soup in West LA. Only problem is the parking, suprised huh. Its a happening place so its busy during dinning hours. Pros: Great Food, Great Prices, Good Environment more
