You won't find a better one 8/16/2014

Most of you people are pathetic. Texas Thrift is as nice and organized a thrift store as I've ever been into over the course of my 40 years of adult living. Not only have I been a customer here for many years, but our kids grew up in the nice clothes you find there. Unlike a Goodwill store, which I will NEVER go into again, Texas Thrift sorts and displays clothes by their size. Try finding that at a Goodwill. Since I'm not eating off the floor, I could care less about how clean the bathroom or floor is. Every time I visit, I find NEW dress shirts, new Tee Shirts, some with tags still on them. A pair of shoes (sperry's) i bought in there for five bucks practically new, I've been wearing for years. You people and your petty grievances make me sick. more

The prices seem to have gone up recently. We saw a basic hooded sweatshirt for $7.00 and some polo type shirt for $6.00. In my opinion those prices are too high for a thrift store. Considering all itms are donated to them for free. Pros: null Cons: null more

Nice clothes but sometimes a little pricey 5/28/2011

They have a good selection of clothes, however, sometimes their prices are kind of high for some items. They finally fixed the A/C so it is not hot in there anymore. They cleaned up the dressing room; it used to be so dirty. Now, the next thing they need to do is fix the bathrooms. the ladies bathroom is awful. I try not to use their bathroom when I am shopping there. more

Not worth the trip 5/20/2011

If you live within 5 minutes from Texas Thrift on Ingram then check it out, if you have to drive longer than that it SO ISN'T WORTH IT! more

Texas Thrift@ 4114 W. Commerce 1/10/2010

I love this store! They have nice name-branded clothes at reasonable prices, and I can always find something when I go shopping there. The staff are very friendly and courteous, I feel like family everytime I visit! Alot cleaner than most thrift stores. Great location @4114 W. Commerce, you should visit it soon! =) Pros: Great clothes, very reasonable prices, and super clean! Cons: Can't say there are any! more

Shows favoritism 9/24/2009

I am disappointed because I feel that I was humiliated, and the manager didn't resolve it. I was trying to use a credit slip that was issued by "your store" , they wouldn't take it because she didn't recognize the manager signature. Well, I didn't ask for her ID when she issued the credit slip, or when she took my return items. Instead of the manager going to get the credit book (like I asked her to) she told me come back the next day. I feel like you're looking at me (a black women) as if I wrote my own credit slip or something. Where would I get a credit slip from with all of your store info printed on it? After serving my county for over 14 yrs, several years of education, a homeowner, and business owner, I certainly wouldn't need to fake a credit slip. All she had to do was get the credit book, (all the slip have are numbered) and match up my slip with the carbon copy in the book, but no! I was told to come back and I live to far away to be driving back and forth. How can yo more

This place has great quality and reasonable prices. 9/5/2009

There clothes are at a reasonable price with the understanding that the economy is hard right now.I never had a problem with finding stains or rips in the clothes.Discounts are always a plus.... Pros: Cheap more

This place is great but man its hot 2/23/2009

Always go in the morning cause they don't have air conditioning and man it gets hot but other than that they have great sales and good stuff hardly ever found a stain of anything, but the place is always kinda messy. They do sort their clothing by size though which is very helpful. Pros: Good sales and good baby clothes Cons: HOT, HOT, HOT, and DIRTY more

Texas Thrift Store: Go during the 50% off monthly sales. 4/4/2006

Texas Thrift Store can be a bit pricey at times, especially formal wear and sometimes the clothing seems wrongly priced. Sometimes you'll find stone-washed denim jeans with a pleated front and a skinny ankle for $6.99, like the kind A.C. Slater wears on Saved By the Bell. That's just odd.\r But you should wait until they have these periodic sales that are amazing. Every month, they have a 50% off everything sale. This isn't just for clothes, it applies to everything in the store. I'm not sure if furniture applies.\r The changing rooms aren't always nice. But the worst is the men's dressing room. There is only one, there is no light inside the tiny room, and there is no mirror inside of it either. What's the use if you can't see yourself in what you decided to try on? more

Love this store! 11/16/2005

We love to visit because of the variety. Every time we go in, we find some new treasure. It's a huge store and seems to have a better selection than most thrift stores. more

Family Thrift Store 11/14/2005

The Texas Thrift Store is like a large garage sale only the prices are higher. The store is not very clean but it is organized by departments. They have used clothes for everyone and also have some furniture, electronics, books, sporting goods and housewares. It is a good place to go if you are looking for different items and are on a tight budget. more
