Best

This is a great place to get a wonderful flavored ice tea and in my case a rice pudding on my last visit. It is wonderful and the whole atmosphere is very relaxed and zen.

Best Bubble Tea in DC 5/1/2006

So far, Teaism is the best bubble tea I’ve found within the District limits, though I think it costs a bit much. My favorite food item to order here is the salmon bento box. All of the Bento boxes are great, though, offering a full meal for around $8. When I say full meal, I mean that they include a main dish with sides like edamame, a cucumber salad and sticky rice; the portions may be a bit small for some, but they’re perfect for me. Their larger dishes are good, too, but tend to be a bit much for me. As you might imagine given their name, their wide array of teas is what they’re famous for. They also sell Oriental-style teapots, teacups, and much more. Be wary of the lunch hour; it gets pretty packed, at this location at least. more

This is my new favorite restaurant! you can view their menu at teasim.com; the one I went to was at the corner of Conneticut and H street. Have the Jasmine Pearl tea, its lovely. Today I had a Tuna Bentu box that I loved, but I'm tempted to try this weird soup they have... they put rice and lettuce and salmon in a bowl... then you pour hot green tea over it and eat it like soup... maybe next time i'll be so daring! the ambiance is great, its very posh, seating outside is lovely, especially on a sunny day like today. Go early or late, the lines are long and the place is packed! Also, get a granolatoffee cookie, they're great! more

More than just tea 1/16/2006

Teaism is a fascinating tea bar located near the Archives/Penn Quarter Metro station. This place as the name indicates specializes in tea but they also have a small restaurant that serves some very unique food items. The interior decorations are very tasteful and the service is warm and friendly. This a great place to relax with a book or to socialize with a group of friends. more
