TBT Towing

Why this company is allowed to still be in business is beyond me. They have been fined by the state for illegally impounding vehicles (City Search will not let me post links, so please be sure to look it up) and still continue to screw people over. You can read all kinds of stories of them towing vehicles then requesting $1,000 - $2,000 for you to get your car back. If anyone knows the owners name, please make it public. more

my car got towed on 11-12-11 next day i went to pick it up and they say i owe them $612.50 wtf!!!! worst towing in washington! more

I was totally reamed when my stolen truck was impounded by TBT. Because it was a Sunday no one notified me until Monday afternoon. With the impound fee, after hours charge and storage it was over $600!!! They had stored the truck for thirty minutes over a twenty four hour period so they knocked a few bucks off to make it $570. I recovered another stolen car in the past and the impound and storage was half the cost in the city of Seattle. Obviously taking advantage, stay away! more

My husband and I own and manage several properties, every time we need someone towed that has illegally parked in our lot we call TBT. They are awesome, really nice people that are prompt and reliable. They also gave us the towing signs free of charge when we first signed up. They are professionals. more

So im at my buddies house at the 1020 university apartments I parked in this 4 spot stretch of parking that is meant for guests only mind you this was around 1 pm (today) 7/19/10 and I have gone over to his house and parked in that same spot every night for the past 6-8 months but usually im there after 5 because i work during the day. Well today was my day off and i headed over to his house and we look down from his porch like ""maybe"" 20 min after I got there and my truck was being towed!! so we rushed down there and where like WTF!!!!\r \r Apparently in those spots your not aloud to park there before 5pm for some random ass reason and there are ZERO signs saying so in the parking lot.... the only sign that says that is INSIDE the building which is locked if you don’t live there and not that noticeable either.... \r \r so we offer this guy 100$$$ and he said sorry it coasts 200$$ once the boots are already on and i already called it in sorry...\r \r So i started pleading with him we dont have anymore money im so screwed THIS IS MY STEP DADS CAR!!! and he just kinda chuckled and got into his truck so of course being my normal self i started shouting at him and telling him to go to hell and what not...\r Pros: nothing about this company is good Cons: If you work for tbt you have no morality more

This company has been fined by the state for preditory practices. My daughter had her car towed during a Mariners game. It was a Friday night. Because of the weekend and after hours it cost us $500 to get her car back. Pretty outragous considering there were no warning signs at all enterances only the front and the lot was not well marked. TBT Towing has not heard the end to this. I will file charges against them with the BBB, Wa. St, Attorney General, The City of Seattle and anyone esle that will listen. Do not give them any busines and if you are a business sever your ties with them. Use a more reputeable business to do your towing. $200 would be much more realistic. $400+ charge for having my STOLEN vehicle impounded for just 17 hours. Other friends who have had their cars stolen and impounded in Seattle have been charged ~$200 for EXACTLY THE SAME SERVICE by other towing companies. This company clearly takes advantage of powerless customers and I urge you not to support them. Pros: None. more

I was working and had a client in the car, who happened to be a child, when all of a sudden my car died on I-5 in Seattle. I called TBT Towing and they showed up quickly. We only waited about 30 minutes which I thought was fabulous for a busy Saturday morning. KDS, was friendly and very efficient. In a stressful situation like this it was great to have someone who was so kind to us. I would recommend them to everyone! more

I definitely DON'T recommend TBT towing. After keeping me waiting for 1 hour and 10 minutes, they told me that they they don't service my area. If you'd like to save yourself time, please try other towing services. Cons: They could not deliver service after keeping customer waiting for 1 hour and 10 minutes more

The guy spent 30 minutes getting the spare out of my truck ( he had to pry loose the welded mount). Very nice and helpful. These guys rock! more

The operator was sympathetic, even though she probably hears 20 of these types of calls each day. They had a driver available, and he met me within 20 minutes or so. BC was great - really nice, quick, a total professional, and a ray of sunshine in an otherwise tough day. more
