Recently had dinner on a Saturday evening. The ambience was fine, but the food was horrible. I started with a salad, and had 5 arugala leaves, 1/4 pear and 2 thin slices of cheese. The salad comes with no house dressing, so you ask and receive a tablespoon of balsamic and a tablespoon of olive oil.\r
Ordered the veal and rosemary entree, and, when served, had 4 VERY thin, translucent strips of veal (total veal weight was well under 4 oz.!), a teeny amount of sauteed vegetables all for the unreasonable price of $26 or so for the entree. I dared not order dessert for the final topper! I was already $40 per person in the hole.\r
The waitstaff is fine, but the ownership is a bit snooty. No one bothered to ask us if everything was fine, or needed any cocktails, etc., etc. I eat in Manhattan all the time. As we went to visit friends in Tarrytown, they had heard that this restaurant was very good. Bottom line is that when I drove home, I stopped at McDonald's for a bite to eat. We were starving!\r
Pros: ambience, seating
Cons: food, limited menu
