The chess-player hangout 5/29/2002

Tang's is open 24 hours a day. Their donuts and coffee are only OK - on par with the other indie donut shops around L.A., and it's kind of got seedy characters hanging around. But you come here to watch the old guys playing intense games of speed-chess at 1 a.m. in the morning. Definitely worth a look-see. more
