Talayna's Italian Restaurant

Have been there two times, both times, the wine on the menu is not available. Had a restuarant coupon, no mention that wine was not part of the coupon, they would not honor the wine as the $50 price. We had to order food to go to meet the price required. Waitress not friendly or attentive. Food was just ok. Would not recommend this place, spend your money elseware. more

I took a friend to this restaurant and I will never go back. We used a coupon ,which I never do, and the manager or owner came back with the waitress and said we didn't order off the proper menu???? We had terible service as part of the order came late and we did ask for bread and oil and that never came. We were on our lunch so time was very important. There were 4 people in the restaurant so there shouldn't have been a time problem. I told the manager or whomever that the coupon said lunch and he got very smart to me. He did take the one lunch off and then came over to get the money for the lunch. I gave her 15% of what the total bill would be. He opened the place where I put the cash and he asked me about the tip! I had left her a $3 tip for a $8 bill.\r I really should have just taken the money and left but I was in shock !!! I wasn't a big fan of this place. The food was ok, but the restaurant itself seemed somewhat dirty. Also, the service wasn't that great. It took quite some time to get a refill on my water, and I had to ask 3 times. more

So much for trusting reviews. I wanted to take my wife someplace nice. We were seated in the bottom of this empty place, the vinyl on the seats dates from the 60's and needs repaired or replaced. The most dissapointing was waiting a long for our food to be serverd and than adding insult to injury -- the food was cold! Much better places in St. Louis to go rather then spend good money on a marginal place. Will not return. Pros: good parking Cons: cold food more

If you are not a St. Louis native and loathe the local cracker crust pizza, you will LOVE the thick crust pizza here. We have a few other favorites in town, but this one caught us by surprise and now may be our absolute favorite. The dinner entrees such as ravioli were very good as well. This was the first restaurant we went to when we moved to St. Louis. The food is delicious, the atmosphere very cozy and the waiters are very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive.
