Castleton- HASSLETON-esp. around X-mas time. My friend and I were on 82nd street trying to get our last min. shopping done at the Mall. But everyone knows how bad the traffic is around this time. Frustrated and wanting to get out of the car, we started looking around trying a find a place to relax so we can go to the mall later and enjoy ourselves. My friend suggested we go to Taj of India but I was scared-because I never had Indian food before. Somehow..she convinced me and we went. As we rushed in the restaurant from the cold weather outside, it was warm, comfy, and beautiful little place filled with pictures and calming music slowing playing in the back. Our server was very nice-she could tell it was my FIRST time from the way i was acting-little confused trying to figure out what I want. She asked me few questions, whether i like my food spicy or not , If i want chicken or shrimp Then she suggested me a dish, which i forgot the name of already. Regardless, it was yummy. My tummy was very happy and it was not spicy at all, which was what i was afraid off because I thought indian food was HOT. Boy, was i wrong....it was DELICIOUS. I am going to take my boyfriend there very soon for our romantic night out.
Pros: Ambience & Service
Cons: Located in Castleton- wish it was closer to where i live
