Tacoma Glass Blowing Studio

I had the opportunity to go here with a group for a company event. We each had the opportunity to do some hands on glass blowing art. They were very helpful and knowledgeable, and helped us create awesome pieces of glass art. Also, they sell beautiful art, glass pendant lamps, Christmas & Halloween decorations, vases, plates, and many more. They are very informative and their studio made for a great group experience. They let us bring in our catered lunches as well. They offer a variety of classes which fill up quickly!. more

For anyone that is looking to experience the art of glass blowing in the Seattle/Tacoma area....I strongly recommend visiting TGS (Tacoma Glassblowing Studio). During my vacation, my friend and I decided we wanted to try our hand at blowing our own glass piece. TGS allowed us to create our own piece alongside an instructor (he did the hard stuff)........it was really a cool experience!!! Not only did we get to experience making a glass piece (I made a beautiful bowl and got to pick out the colors), but we also got the chance to see their glass blowers create some incredible pieces! \r \r It truly was eye-opening to view art being made (and now we get why its so expensive to buy this art! but well worth it!). Jeannine and Mark (the owners) were truly sweet and down to earth ....they made our visit memorable. If you're interested in doing something out of the ordinary......there's more to the Seattle/Tacoma area than the space needle.........have fun! Pros: Easy to find, really nice people, unique experience Cons: Not much more
