Taboo Tattoo

Timmy did my lip piercing a couple years ago and I still absolutely LOVE it! He was so sweet and gentle! He made me laugh and reassured me that I would be just fine. I was at Taboo Tattoo for a total of 5 minutes TOPS. The piercing itself took maybe 30 seconds, including putting in the jewelry. My lip never got infected and it was very reasonably priced! I only had $30, so that's all they took. They didn't even charge me for the $40 piece of jewelry they put in. I went back a couple month later to get my original lip ring taken out and to put a new, clean libret in. Timmy checked for infection and then changed my piercing and all I paid for was the $10 libret. I love Taboo and I am DEFINITELY going back to get my other piercings done!! :) more

I got a tattoo of a pair of scissors on my neck from J-DUB less than a week ago and it has already completely healed. I have lots of tatts and I must say that I am probably the most happy I have ever been with one. He was light handed and fast, I expected it to be excruciatingly painful on my neck but he was awesome and it barely hurt at all. I would definitely recommend him to anyone I know and will for sure be using him for all of my future work! more

I came here to get a tattoo with no idea what I wanted, but thanks to Flex this guy is the man! Not only did he custom design a tattoo for me he didn't break my bank either. This shop was very cool! Very clean and professional (they did win best of Dallas in the past) So far this is my new home for tattoos and I recommend you do the same. Flex is amazing but I checked out some of Biggs' work too and he is pretty amazing as well this shop is so good it doesn't matter who you see cause your gonna get a guaranteed ""taboo"" tattoo which speak for themselves..... My friend & I went in to get piercings, she got her lip done & I did my tragus.. Tim pierced us both & was awesome right from the get-go right when we walked in. He made us laugh which made us really comfortable. I am definitely going here again! Pros: clean, friendly Cons: NONE! more

The only place I'd go for a piercing. Very clean and a professional staff. Tim walked us through the piercing proceedures and care before the piercing explaining everything in great length. (My daughters 1st piercing) He really made us feel very comfortable the proceedure, and he did a fantastic job. My daughter is extremely happy with her piercing! I've gotten 3 FLY tats there. They all came out great! No assult here...lol....i had no problems gettin new & fresh pics or ideas drawn. I believe the price was reasonable...2 tats by Biggs & 1 by Flex (covered up an unwanted name w/ ease). Both guys were professional, place was very clean & if u're complainin about price, keep in mind, U GET WHAT U PAY FOR! more

I had an industrial ear piercing done at another place, but five days later it was swollen and inflamed. Of course, the place I had gone to was closed, so I called Tim at Taboo. He told me to come over. When I got there, he knew exactly what had happened: my sensitive skin had a reaction to the harsh soap I'd been given by the original piercer, and my bar was too short. He removed the old bar, cleaned my ear, put in a new bar, and gave me gentler care instructions. He cracked jokes and didn't say anything negative about the place I'd gotten my piercing. And in the end, he didn't charge me anything - not even for the new jewelry! He said I could pay him by getting my next piercing there and recommending him to my friends. So here you go! Tim is high class all the way, and I'd recommend him to anyone. Pros: unbelievable customer service Cons: none that I know of more

I was a tattoo virgin when I went in but experienced when I left. I actually went for my son who I found out wasn't old enough to get one. I always wanted one but am (was) Petrified of needles, yet always wanted a tat-go figure. more

Planned on getting a tat of Jimmi Hendrix and spending $200+. Looked at a few pictures on their comp internet. Printed out two pictures, but wasnt sure about them. Asked if I could look again online, and they said no because I was wasting toner (printed 2 pictures total). Actually, they said that it was a waste of INK of all things (the irony!). They said, ""What do you think this is? Kinkos?"". I told them that if they tought printing out a tattoo was a waste of ink, then I didnt know why the f$#% I was there. I tore up the printout of Jimi Hendrix I had (I know, sac relig) and threw it towards the counter and walked out. I know that I over reacted, but I didnt lay my hands on anyone or threaten anyone. I also understand that they cant let everyone print out pictures and use up toner. Although, it would be a good idea to set up a station just for that purpose, and a lot better than picking old pictures from the wall. Next, one of the workers followed me out, pushed me to the ground, and looked like he was about to lay into me. I got up, grabbed my wife by the hand, and we got out of there. Maybe I was rude (never acted that way before), but that doesnt give anyone the right to put their hands on me. Also, when he assaulted me, I was outside his shop walking on the sidewalk (I left willingly and by my own accord-not tresspassing). Lesson learned, dont disrespect a tattoo shop, theyre not Kinkos. I went in for a lip piercing... I was really nervous when I walked in (which now I find embarrassing) but the guy that took care of me was awesome. His humor was relieving and put my nerves to ease. He was quick and professional. I would def. recommend them to anyone lookin to be pierced. I'm considering getting my first tat there too, but that'll be another story... A guy at Tigger's created my tatoo based on a picture I brought in, & Chris from Taboo inked me. He was friendly & made me feel comfortable & relaxed (I was nervous b/c it was my first one!). The tattoo turned out great! There was no wait on a Wed. night - I was in & out in about 30 min. My only complaint was the guy behind the front desk - he was pretty apathetic about everything, but at least he wasn't the one putting a needle in my skin!
