Matt the bartender is the BEST! 12/19/2008

Food is fantastic and my drink is always perfectly poured. I really like the bartender, Matt, a lot. He's friendly and very competent. Glad to have this establishment in my neighborhood! Pros: Great weekend bartender, plenty of seating, ambience more

Just keep on walking. 8/5/2008

How much fail can you fit into a half hour? I was the only customer in the middle of the afternoon. I popped in for a quick lunch and was surprised at the results. The waiter (who seemed like he was 15) didn't understand my drink order (whiskey and 7-up), and spent the rest of the time talking to the bartender. The hot sandwich I ordered was cold, and the bill was wrong. How hard is it to screw up that badly when there's only one customer? Some how they did it and I won't be back for a long time. more

Ditto on the Hunters Chicken, except for.... 5/18/2008

Better be Irish 12/5/2007

I went there for an event, so I wasn't going specifically to buy food or beer. However, I was more than happy to buy a beer anyway, but was never offered a menu (though lots of other people around me were). I could also not get the waiter's attention, and when I went to the bar to order a drink, the bartender never came over, despite waiting several minutes. Instead, he decided it was more important to wash glasses at the other end of the uncrowded bar than take my money (if he had washed any more glasses, he would have nowhere to stack them). I'm not Irish (or even white), but apparently all the people getting good service were. If you're not Irish, you probably want to spend your money elsewhere. more

Great group dining place and exceptional customer service! 11/4/2007

If you want a conventional American dining experience, you should try this place. T.S. McHugh's offers great food and atmosphere. From the outside, it looks like a bar, but actually T.S McHugh welcomes family with kids, too. This places is great for sport fans as it has 4 TV screens that usually plays ESPN. It is also a good place for Personally, I love the hunters chicken. It serves hot, right from the oven and the chicken is cooked just right :) If you are thinking of watching the Sonics or T-Birds, or attending any operas or ballets in QueenAnne, you should stop by T.S. McHugh. Pros: service, food, parking more

In A Word: Awful! 4/11/2007

Arrived at 5P. Order to dinner delivery was 40 minutes due to being ""slammed"" and ""very busy""--on a Wednesday night. Both of us ordered the alder smoked salmon. One problem: it wasn't smoked--at least there was no hint of smoking. Ordered the kids chicken and chips for our daughter. The fries were decidely cold and the two cubes of chicken looked to have been fried and then refried. Very tough and difficult to chew. Our waitress was incredibly nice and accommodating but the food--the reason for going there, huh?--was awful. We have been there before and weren't at all impressed. After this latest episode, we will not return. Pros: Friendly, accommodating service. Cons: Awful, overpriced food. more

The worst service I have EVER had!!!!! 5/11/2006

This was the first time that I have not left a tip at a sit-down restaurant, the service was that bad. The waitress relunctantly took our order, never checked back with us, never brought us our check and stomped away with sighs and eye rolls when we asked for separate checks. And these are only a few of the highlights! Seriously, the absolute worst service ever with the most rude waitress I have ever seen. There are too many good restaurants around to waste your time and money on this one. Pros: None at this point. Cons: Horrible service., Rude wait staff. more

A Half Notch Above Denny's 1/22/2006

The menu describes the salmon as being cold smoked and grilled over alder. FALSE! It was a small piece of fish, dry, overcooked and definitely not pre smoked! The bread pudding is advertised as the house specialty and had the consistency of jello, very strange. The clam chowder was not bad. Soda bread is dry and will crumble all over your shirt. If you desire a nice cold Guinnes, TS McHugh's is a good choice, however. Pros: Guinness on tap, clam chowder Cons: salmon, bread pudding more

Kidney pie 12/1/2004

I was in there the other day, and this lovely bartender (Whom I believe was Matt), gave me the best service I've had in a long time. He was attentive, knowledgable, and actually sold me a kidney pie. I will continue to go back there as long as he's around. Try his washington apples. (They rule) :-* Pros: hot bartender, great waitstaff, hot bartender Cons: , random parking, random parking more

Burnt burgers, stale buns 6/30/2002

First I was surprised that the special (lamb and polenta) was out, and then I was shocked to get a burnt burger and a stale bun for my $10 burger. I left wishing I woulda ate at dicks instead. My date said the halibut was rubbery and tasteless... and neither of us were fond of the service. Pros: Location Cons: Food, Service, Price more
