My mother has pictures of me at the Tulsa Zoo, when I was about two years old, drinking from the water fountain that is shaped like an open lion's mouth. I have the exact same pictures of my little ones! The Tulsa Zoo is another of those places that becomes a tradition. It is a wonderful tradition to start with your family, if you haven't already. They really encourage a day of true quality time with your children and loved ones.
The Tulsa Zoo is very well organized, and they definitely have impressive displays, which they are expanding all the time. They offer gift shops, which aren't too outrageous in price, as well as pit stops along the way to get something cold to drink or something to eat. One of the favorite offerings of my youngest son is the train that you can ride around the interior gates of the zoo! Very cute and fun!
Another really cool thing is that the zoo is located inside Mohawk Park, which makes it even easier to plan for an entire day of fun. My family often enjoys a picnic in the park, either before, or after our zoo adventures.
If you're looking for a quality family oriented attraction, the Tulsa Zoo is a sure bet!
