best place on tuesday nights 7/25/2005

If you love to dance then hyde park is the place to be on Tuesday night. Jask is spinning house in the smaller room. If you have never heard him it is worth the trip. By far the best DJ in Tampa. This is also one of the best places in Tampa to people wath. They have a great tree in the middle of the courtyard and many outdoor tables so you can watch the beautiful people of Tampa go by, more

Great location, great people watching 6/20/2005

I really like going out to Hyde Park Cafe - seems to be one of the "in" places for the beautiful 20's crowd in the Tampa Bay area. They have an outside bar and a couple of inside bars with dancing so they have a couple of different settings. There is always a beautiful crowd and the drinks are relatively cheap. I always have fun here and see a good mix of people. They also have guest DJ's from time to time that seem to pack the house. more

    It seems that everyone here looks like they model, but left the "I'm too sexy" attitude at home, making it an attractive atmosphere without all the pretension. Velociti is a smallish dance bar with its own name. The torch-lit outdoor bar is technically Hyde Park Caf?. Groovy oil projector lighting illuminates the globes on the wall making it feel like a 3-D video game. Some of the best DJ talent in the city spins for the crowd on the awesome terrazzo dance floor, a pure, booty-shaking pleasure.

    Who Are You?
    The pretty lady won't let you into the VIP back bar? Don't sweat it. You're not missing much, and the hotties are on the dance floor anyway. A less crowded space and top-notch service are the real pluses. It's definitely VIP, but not as friendly.
