Editorial review from Citysearch 2/16/2013

Sweet n Sassy may make great cakes, but their professionalism and integrity are quite the opposite. Their staff would rather spend 20 minutes trying to convince a customer that they never received their order rather than taking responsibility that they simply did not fill it. I can't respect a company who does not have integrity. There is a lack of communication as well in the place. The company lost my order and one staff member comes from the back claiming ""Yeah I made that cake, I remember. It's here somewhere"" while the others are staring at me like I didn't speak english. Long story short, they still never found my cake and I had to end up buying one that they had on hand. Shame. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 1/11/2013

Sweet and Sassy offers the worst service I have ever experienced. I ordered a wedding and grooms cake and paid in full. The wedding was canceled and the manager offered to allow me to pick up the cakes at a later date. The problem came when I spoke with the manager/owner Allison who refused to provide me with any service even after the 1st manager stated that she promised the cakes at a later date. Allison was very rude and provided no customer service at all. If you want to have your money stolen, than use Sweet and Sassy, they won't let you down. more

Best Bakery I've been to 3/25/2009

Well, there are 2 sweet and sassy's in Nashville. This one I rarely go to because it's out but when I do go, I find that their sweets are more fresh. My mom has gotten my cakes there since I was little. I'm about to be 21 now and I already know where the next cake is going to come from. The cakes are the best I've ever had. I've moved around alot since my younger years and every time I stop in Nashville, I stop by sweet and sassy and I hope they'll be there so I can get my kids birthday cakes in the future. YUM!! Pros: Best bakery in town! more

Best Birthday Cake EVER! 2/27/2009

For my daughter's 6th birthday she wanted a tie-dyed cake. The girls at Sweet N Sassy warned me that it wouldn't be ""pretty"" but said they could do it. My duaghter LOVED it as did I. It fit perfectly with the theme and tasted wonderful. (The entire cake was gone in 30 mins!) My family recommends the whipped icing. It's fantastic! Pros: Delicious sweets & great costomer service more

Cake worth flying 3000 miles to get 5/15/2008

Sweet and Sassy Bakery makes the best birthday cakes anywhere, period. The icing is just the best. I lived in Nashville most of my life and always bought cakes from Sweet and Sassy for any occassion. I now live 3000 miles away and I'm going to be ordering this years birthday cake from S&S. I sure hope they can find a way to ship it or I might have a friend pick one up and fly it out to me or I'll just get on my favorite non-stop Southwest flight out of Seattle and drive to Madison myself but some way I'm going to be enjoying a white Sweet and Sassy birthday cake with white icing and roses this year sitting on my deck here in the beautiful pacific northwest. more

Delightfully Tasty... 2/20/2008

It's very plain, I love Sweet 'N' Sassy. I have been going there since I was a little girl for cakes, donuts, pies, etc. My mom swears by the place and even though I live in Clarksville now, all of our birthday or party cakes come from Sweet 'N' Sassy. I must thank my mother for helping to make that possible for she brings them with her. And when anyone asks where this great cake is from, I make mention!! Stop in and try one of their great desserts, I do when I'm in the area. Pros: Always good, no regrets!! Cons: I live so far away!! more

Wonderful Southern Bakery! 2/15/2008

Sweet and Sassy won't disappoint you! They are always extremely pleasant, even when lines are long, and their selection of cake flavors, fillings and frostings is unbeatable and faaaaaar better in every way (taste, quality, appearance, service) than any supermarket around. The creativity of the decorating is lovely -- you will be pleasantly surprised when they open the box to show you what you ordered when you come in to pick it up. I love that it's all done on the premises, all made to order and fresh, and you can see how hard they work in the busy kitchen behind the counter. S and S is poplular, and with good reason: The frosting is delicious, the cake soft and moist with great flavor. Try the strawberry cake! Try the red velvet! You can only get those in the South, and Sweet and Sassy is carrying on the tradition of superior home-style baking. There is nothing gourmet, upscale or pretentious about this place, which I love. Just high quality, creatively decorated, yummy and beautiful cakes and other treats. I'm moving away from the area in a few weeks, and this place will be missed. I never write online reviews but I appreciate what Sweet and Sassy does so much that I felt compelled to write this one. Pros: Service, quality, beauty of cakes. Cons: None. more

Beautifully decorated cakes 11/23/2006

Sweet-N-Sassy has been around for as long as I can remember. They are a local favorite. When I had my own son I knew that I wanted them to decorate his birthday cakes. We've had dinosaur cakes where they put upside down cupcakes on top of the cake and decorate them with gray and black frosting and curled ribbons to look like volcanos complete with candy rocks. They can design almost any scene. They are obviously more pricey than, say, a Kroger or Wal-mart cake, but definitely worth it. You pay about $10 extra for the scene on the cake. You can get a pretty good sized cake for around $50. Their cakes are delicious and you can choose lots of different cake and frosting combos. If you are just driving by the Madison area, they are also a great stop for a treat. Their petit fors are the best and they have a great variety of cookies and other treats. Pros: Beautiful, delicious cakes Cons: A little pricey more

GREAT CAKES!!! 4/20/2006

we ordered a cake from Sweet and Sassy for a large bday party. The cake was beautiful and D-E-LICIOUS!! The lady who took my order was very helpful, too. Pros: the cakes, the cakes, the cakes more

THE BEST in Nashville and surrounding areas!! 2/28/2006

Sweet N Sassy has never dissapointed me or my family. Every occasion is a hit with their cakes. The most beautiful cakes you will ever find and the whipped icing is the best. I don't like really sweet things but the whipped is a perfect taste of just enough sweet without going sugery. I highly reccommend you to try it. I promise there is no way you can be dissapointed. The value is decent. Not much more than the competition but the quality is unbeatable. The small price difference is not a sacrifice for the taste and beautiful work they do. TRY IT!! Pros: Quality, Taste, Appearance more

JUST LIKE HOMEMADE-WITH YUMMIEST FROSTING 6/5/2005

This is like the ultimate Southern mommy's kitchen of precious and delicious delicacies that look just as amazing as they taste. The frosting is true Southern buttercream, the cakes is moist just like you would make at home, the decorations are perfect and flawless, and their use of color is beautiful. If you need a birthday cake, wedding cake, frosted cookies, petits fours, pastries, etc. that taste homemade--this is the only place to go. The service is friendly, they have tons of choices, and it is just the most yummy frosting you'll ever eat! Either make it at home yourself or pick it up there! Pros: delicious frosting, sweet staff & goodies, beautiful decoration more

Yum 5/14/2003

Sweet-n-sassy is the best bakery in Nashville. I have never called in an order to late to be able to pick it up at my convenience. This includes calling at 3:30 p.m. on Friday to pick-up a cake at 9 a.m. Saturday morning on Mother's Day Weekend(yes I forgot).Their counter always has something different everytime I go. And as a sugar addict who has been everywhere in Nashville, it is the best icing in town. Pros: Quality sweets, Helpful service, Always fresh more
