Good Food Cleanliness Problem 11/24/2009

We used to eat at Pepper's a LOT. I kept getting hair in my food so after getting hair in three different dishes in one meal I just couldn't stomach it any more. The food is wonderful, have never gotten a bad dish just hair in my food. I really hate it too and I miss eating there. When I called the manager about the hair he actually laughed. I don't think he was all together there, maybe that is why the hair was in the food. Never have seen any hair nets worn. I think the young girls that work there brush their hair often and don't wear nets. more

Pepper's Deli 8/12/2006

I've been eating at Pepper's Deli since it first opened it's doors quite a few years ago. I used to get the Blitz (roast beef, ham, and turkey with swiss cheese, veggies, and spicy mustard on croissant). I loved every single bite. But now that I am a vegetarian, finding something good and filling on the menu is quite challenging. I ate at Pepper's last night and it took me about 1o minutes to decide what to order. I finally decided on the veggie sandwich (swiss cheese, cucumbers, tomato, green and red peppers, and lettuce on croissant) with a side of balsamic vinagrette in place of the peppercorn parmesan dressing. Ooooh it was good! Well, nothing phenomenal, but for a veggie sandiwch it was tasty. The fruit that came with it seemed as though it st in syrup all day, but was still edible. The highchairs were all a bit dirty, but useable. No major dillemas with the meal, and everyone got exatcly what they ordered. On the way out we picked up a piece of carrot cake to eat later in the evening. It was the moistest carrot cake I've ever had and had an incredibly smooth cream cheese frosting. I'll definitely go back to Pepper's next time I'm visiting home. I always forget how much I like it. more

Sandwich Shop 8/19/2005

Peppers is a sandwich shop that is basically Starkville's Bulldog Deli by another name. They sell a variety of sandwiches, salads and spuds. The best thing they serve is their honey mustard dressing which has a kick of cayenne pepper. Other than that it's just another sandwich shop. A lot like subway at twice the price. They do have good potatoe salad. more
