Best

I order sushi from this place every week & they always deliver much faster than the estimate. Never had a bad experience with the quality of the fish.

Worst

The order was more than an hour late.

Food was good. Dragon roll the crab was a bit dry in the end pieces but over all the order was very good. Would recommend. Would order again. Prices are fair as well. In this area it's nice to have a better than decent Japanese place more

I'm very happy with this place. I've been ordering from them for a few months now, and the food has always been consistent. I absolutely love the California Rolls and Chicken Curry. All the food I've tried tasted fresh and comes from a really nice looking restaurant. I haven't eaten there, but based on the quality of the food I'd certainly know that whatever I'm getting is going to be good. more

Great! Love the yaki misi from here - fresh and delicious and comforting. Great sushi too. more

excellent sushi 8/27/2008

There are only two or three sushi places in Manhattan that I absolutely love (both are downtown); most are just average in my opinion. Sushi Yu 2 however is not only fabulous, but incredibly affordable! We tried some basic rolls, like spicy tuna and salmon avocado and they were tasty, but I was most impressed with the more interesting combinations like the crazy dragon roll and the butterfly roll. For dessert, we had the fried banana, which was also tasty: it was prepared in a Japanese fashion, similarly as shrimp tempura, while maintaining a Washington Heights character (like fried plantains). Additionally the service was very good. I'm planning on eating here regularly and recommend that you try it for yourself! Pros: variety of choices on menu, quality of food, service more

Good food at reasonable prices! 9/17/2007

I was looking for a sushi spot that was close to me and found this one online. I ordered take-out and was pleasantly surprised. The food was great and the price was even better, especially compared to other sushi restaurants downtown. The staff was wonderful too! I'm glad to have finally found a sushi joint that isn't too far. Pros: Great food! Great Price! Cons: None! more

Great food, reasonable prices, pleasant decor. 9/9/2006

There's a debate about sushi. I like mine more room temperature, not cold. Fresh, delicious - I love their sushi. Also, the udon soup was rich and tasty, savory and fragrant... quite a nice surprise. Service was good too, the warm towel at the beginning was an affecting touch. I like this little strip of stores and restaurants just north of the GWBridge, it's a nice area and worth visiting after a jog around Fort Tryon Park. Pros: Love the food, prices reasonable, service good. Cons: None really. more
