NOT WORTH THE TIME! 10/8/2006

Sushi Zawa also known as Fuji something on 208 E. Palm in Burbank has the worst service IN ALL OF CALIFORNIA!!! First of all, don't go to this address expecting to see Sushi Zawa because you won't find it. Even upon making reservations to this place, no one there alerted us to the name change. I went to this place with friends having a bachelorette night out, and this was the worst experience of the entire evening! The service was HORRIBLE and the waitress/manager is a prejudice bigot....referring to me and my friends as ""YOU PEOPLE!"" We waited an hour to receive all of the dishes we ordered and when we politely expressed that to the waitress/manager/bigot, she went to the kitchen and brought back what we assumed to be the cook and he informed us that an hour wait is normal!!! WTF????? It's sushi....RAW FOOD...why would it take an hour? After we also expressed that two dishes were order that we never received, the waitress/manager/bigot said that they have ""regular customers"" and ""YOU PEOPLE are different."" What did that have to do with our complaint is still a mystery to me!!!!! I could go on an on but let me just sum this up by saying, this place is not worth your time or energy!!!! It's a disgrace to Burbank and a disgrace to the meltingpot of California! It's enough racism going on in the world tody and you do not need to go and spend money at a place so disrespectful and a total disgrace!!!!!!!!!!!!! more

rude staff and very slow service 10/7/2006

The waiter, manager, and owner were very rude and the food took over an hour to receive! We finally had to tell them we didn't want the last couple sushi rolls because it was taking too long! When we asked for a discount on the rolls they brought out as we were leaving they proceeded to say that their regulars didnt mind the wait and that ""you people"" can go across the street to eat! It was amazing to hear those words come out of a manager!! She was antagonizing and mean!! I will tell everyone I know to never go to Sushi Zawa- which is actually called Fuji Sushi and Grill... they haven't changed their name on anything so you will get lost if you're looking for it! Pros: nothing Cons: everything more

Generous cuts, inexpensive 1/14/2006

Ate here for a weekday lunch before a movie. Sushi was ""half-off"", which made it excellent in my book. The cuts of fish were fresh and so buttery. I could hardly believe that we weren't regulars, because the cuts of fish were so thick and generous. We sat at the bar and had tuna, salmon, mackerel, seared tuna (so-so) and an eel roll (stick to the sushi). Next time, we'll just have sashimi or sushi, skip the rolls and pig out. Great location, prompt service, great value. Pros: fresh fish, generous servings, half-off prices more

Good Specials 6/9/2002

Their specials are good, featuring multiple ordering options along with miso, salad and rice. I suggest the cooked food (teriyaki salmon or chicken), which is very good, over the sushi options, which are only mediocre. The prices are quite fare, the location is good (in the ""Burbank Village"") and the service is usually pleasant. Pros: good prices, good teriyaki Cons: sushi only ok more
