Surfside Motel

I just stayed at the surfside Motel and all the rooms have been done \r for the season . The rooms have been all freshly painted with new fixtures and equipment I suggest you do not wait to make your reservation\r for this spring and summer . We arrived from JFK at 10.30 and at the hotel at 11.30. Nick at the front desk was very friendly and helpful both that night and when we checked out at 6.30 in the morning. He called a cab company and booked the cab for us.\r \r The room itself was clean and fresh. With comfortable beds. The bathroom was also clean and perfectly good.\r \r Marie, I think the manager, was extrememly helpful and provided excellent customer service before I had even booked/ arrived and it made me feel welcome before I had even confirmed I would stay there.\r \r The area, although deserted at night felt safe. There was a 24 hour convenience store open a minute's walk away. more

My husband and I stayed here in 2008 and the room was awful . It was like a bunch of prom kids had partied hard . Bed was lumpy, sink was falling off the wall, disgusting . But I'm always willing to give someone the benefit of the doubt as we never complained . \r Well this year we returned . You cannot beat $69.00 a night with free beach badges & breakfast . When I called for availability I explained the dilema in 2008 and was assured we'd get a better room . Now I'm not going to say it was Great, but you tell me what hotel is in Seaside . Our bed was comfortable , sheets were clean, room was vacummed & cleaned, air conditioning worked great . Bathroom was cleaned and funtional . All the lights worked, refrigerator froze our drinks and TV was new . You tell me where 2 people in peak season can stay that close to the boarwalk for $69.00 plus get free beach badges ( which would cost $10.00) and a free complimentary breakfast at The whistle Stop . \r Tom, at the front desk was very couteous and accomodating to our needs . The pool was awesome . \r We liked it so much that we are returning for 2 nights at the end of this month . And we were told to ask for the same room as we were very satisfied . \r Thank You Tom . Too all YOU PEOPLE!!! Who want to know more about the Surfside hotel it has something for everyone. For the historians each room has the first ever Zeeneth television ever made and you have to unplug it to turn it off. \r \r Then there are the others. The part people. YOU PEOPLE as I like to say.\r \r All though the rooms were bad you have people belly flopping in the pool for money. By the way the pool is ""AWESOME""\r \r and fat kids screaming SURFSIDE AT SEASIDE!!! and Chanting USA! USA! USA! 3 in the morning.\r \r Also you provide the second best continental breakfast ever made and your 2 blocks away from Chef Alfonsos also known as Steaks Unlimited.\r \r That is why this Hotel is a FIVE!!! out of FIVE!!!\r \r So until next time I recommend the\r \r SUUUUUUURRRRRRFFFFFFF SIDEEEEEEE AT SEAAAAAAA SIDE>>\r \r P.S: The FAT KID WAS ME!!! more

My family and i have stayed there many times and found it to be very clean, staff was very accomidating-even let my kids stay in the pool an extra 1/2hr. It does have a younger crowd but thats the fun of a vacation \r \r tripadvisor more

my family and i stayed 4 nights at the surfside..the location was great and the rooms were comfortable..the pool is huge for a motel pool at seaside..the rooms and pool were clean and the people in the office were really nice! we ate our free breakfast at the whistle stop and decided to go there for dinner.. FANTASTIC! and priced right too...KIDS EAT FREE! we will be going back...as for yourself DONT HESITATE it is great! more

i like the location, its close to the beach and board walk attractions and the pool was clean, the rooms are good and my friends and family go there almost every year. you guys at surfside are great. my wife and i will be going this year with our 1 1/2 old daugter. lookin forward to it more

I have stayed in many motels over the past few years but I really love Surfside Motel. Why? Because the rooms and the level of cleanliness are excellent, the owner is a great man and the staff is always helpful. It's located on Ocean Terrace in Seaside Heights, right next to the Boardwalk. This motel has the best outdoor pool in Seaside Heights. I highly recommend this motel, so check it out on your next visit to Seaside Heights, Jersey Shore. more

My friends and I spent Memorial Day weekend at the Surfside Motel. We had a really great time. The rooms were very nice and the pool was well fun.. This weekend was very busy at the motel I don't think they had any vacancy all weekend but everything at the motel ran smoothly. The security at the motel was great even though the town was packed. I think we got a good deal on our weekend rate and it even included free breakfast each day. My friends and I will defintly go back again. more

After having a bad experience last year at one of the other motels in Seaside Heights I was little leary of trying this place especially after reading some of the other posts. We came down in August and overall the room really wasn't that bad. We were right across from the boardwalk and w/ 2 young boys it was really nice not to have to walk 2 blocks to return to our temporary home. My 2 sisters went with us so we had 3 rooms in all. My older sister had a single room and my other sister had a suite like we did. If you are going to get a suite with the stove take your own cooking stuff because that is not provided. The maid was there everyday to give us fresh towels and take the trash. The sheets were clean and fresh. It was a little noisy at with the other people there but w/ the AC on it was ok. We will definitly be back next year!!! Also the girls that work at the Whistle Stop for the free breakfast were very nice !!! more

Very clean, friendly service. Every time the employees saw me or my boyfriend, they would call us by our first names. Originally we planned on staying for 3 nights, but since everything went well we stayed an extra night, which we were only charged half price since we were great guests. Close to karma & bamboo which was great because we could walk back after being out late. Less then 5 minute walk to the boardwalk, it's located in a friendly safe area. We definitely recommend it more
