I brought in my 2001 Outback in for the expensive work I knew it needed at 95,0000 miles: timing belt, water pump, head gasket. I told them "I am in this car for the long haul, fix everything you see that needs attention." That is like giving a blank check to any dishonest mechanic and I expected they would find SOMETHING else that needed work. But no, the car was done the next day and the total was LESS than the estimate. It drives better then before and I am astounded. Thanks guys!
Pay no heed to those who comment here that they expect dealer level hand-holding at independent mechanic prices. It is not Richie's fault that your 15 year old Subaru needs it's neglected maintenance items addressed. This is an excellent shop! The pricing is outstanding, the staff and mechanics are friendly and willing to talk to you in detail about the issues regarding subaru maintenance and repair and, most amazingly, they don't fix it, or charge you for it, if it ain't broke! What more could you ask for?
