My mother-in-law who is 72 yrs old had a broken bone and went to see Dr.Cane late afternoon on Monday. The doctor sent her to have her arm x-rayed and told her to call first thing on Tuesday. This doctor did not examine the arm or stabilize it. By Tuesday morning my mother in law was in pain and we could not reach Tina the nurse until 12:30 who said the x-rays were not back. Both of us began calling at 9 am! I called radiology who said the x-rays had been sent to the doctors office and resent them. Finally at 2 pm Tina the nurse answered after I was on hold again for 20 minutes and confirmed that her arm was broken. She told me that they could not set the bone and said that she would call an orthopedic surgeon, BUT BEFORE SHE DID THAT SHE DECIDED SHE DID NOT LIKE MY ATTITUDE AND HUNG UP ON ME. SHE DID NOT CALL MY MOTHER IN LAW AND ABANDONED THE PATIENT. MY MOTHER IN LAW WAS FINALLY ABLE TO HAVE HER ARM SET ON WEDNESDAY BECAUSE I FOUND HER A SURGEON. THE OFFICE MANAGER DONNA WAS UNCONCERNED. ALSO, NOW THE OFFICE WILL NOT REFILL MY MOTHER IN LAWS PAIN MEDICATION THAT THE NURSE AND DOCTOR SAID ON MONDAY THAT THEY WOULD. I called the doctors office today and the front desk refused to tell me the nurses last name. I AM FILING A FORMAL COMPLAINT AGAINST NURSE TINA WITH THE KANSAS STATE BOARD. Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from this place as possible!!!!
