Thoroughly enjoyed opportunity to ride bareback & w/ saddle, Everyone was friendly & helpful. I was given an introduction to riding in one of the pens. There I was instructed how to sit, hold the reigns & command the horse. What a great experience. more

What a great ride! I am sure in the drier months its better! I will definetly return to Sun City! I absolutely adored my horse who was El Peppy! He was so so beautiful! Service was nice. Coool petting zoo! On my ride we had no guide, 3 young ladies ages ranging (13-14) one whom had only ridden once and one whom had only been riding for a year, and I have been riding six years. VERY VERY COOL! We didn't get lost! Most of the other reviews were probably cause those people aren't assertive to their horse! You NEED to make sure your the boss, these horses are VERY VERY VERY TESTY! After that they are wonderful! HAVE FUN AND GO ENJOY! more

Ahhh....looking for horses that will respond to your commands?, horses that are well fed?, and horses that are given lots of love? Well I would suggest Sun City stables. If you are new to horses or are a beginner then try using one of their guides. I have ridden at a lot of stables and by far overall this one is the best. Their animals are never abused. I have been at stables where the horses are punished and abused for no good reason. I look for a stable that has talented horses, well fed horses, and most of all I look for a stable that respects and loves the horse. This really "IS" that place. Yes, there are stables that are fancier, but if you are looking for a good place to ride for your dollar then treat yourself to Sun City stables. The staff are good Christian people. They know their "STUFF" and will share their knowledge with you. You'll never get lost on their trails, because the horse always knows his way back to the barn. If you are not sure of yourself on a horse then use a guide. These animals are one of God's greatest gifts to us. They aim to please at all levels. At Sun City Stables they will eat carrots and apples from your hand......and some give kisses...... more

My friend Michelle and I went riding at Sun City Stables this past Saturday. We rode for about four hours, with Michelle on Blaze and me on Starbuck. Michelle is a moderately experienced rider while I have very little experience.We decided to do the unguided all-day ride for $65, which is a great deal. The handlers were very helpful in getting us mounted and on the trail. We initially had some difficulty handling the horses, but that was mainly due to our lack of experience. When we returned to the barn for assistance, the handlers were very helpful and gave us some good riding tips. From that point on, it was a great time! The horses were spirited and very fun to ride, given adequate handling. Both Michelle and I loved it. Michelle also liked the petting zoo, and really would have liked taking one of the piglets or baby goats home with her. We will definitely be returning to Sun City Stables. more

Family spent the day riding. They had a great time. It's a great value. It is NOT for people who looking for an easy ride. The area is pretty rough and you'll likely get wet and dirty. Be aware that you need decent clothing, typical for horse riding. This isn't a pony ride where you can wear shorts and sandals. We were nearly scared off due to some of the reviews. If you're a good rider and can handle horses and rough country the place is great as there are lots of area to explore. The group we were in ranged from children from 8 to adults. All have some experience riding. I wouldn't recommend this for a rank beginner. It's not a trail ride where the horses know the trail and follow it. You HAVE to know how to get the horse to go where you want to go. The people will stay with you for a few minutes to make sure you get going, but then you're on your own. We'd definitely do it again if we are ever back this way. more
