Suburban Propane rescued us in April 09 when the tank we had with our previous provider was 100%. They came the very day we called. They disconnected our previous tank and installed their own. They had smaller tanks available which is great since we only get propane about 3 or 4 times a year (we don't run our furnace). They are on route weekly and since we don't need frequent top ups, they don't have us on a route - they figure out when we might need a top up based on the last time we did and they just show up. While they caught me off guard this month, I'd rather have them come when I'm not expecting and get a wee top up than have to call them because I'm running low. Unlike my other company, there's no penalty if they show up & we're not here since they come randomly unless I ask them to put me on a route. We'll probably do that next year when we figure out how often we'll need a top up. Our current tank is almost 100 gallons smaller than the one we had before so we're still figuring that out.
Their truck meters are computerized so I know exactly what is going in my tank. My previous provider had handwritten tickets so I had to trust that they put in what they said they had.
I am so thankful that a friend recommended Suburban Propane. We are very happy customers and in my very negative (no apologies) review of Benz, I direct people to get out of their contract and ring up Suburban.
Pros: Customer service, reliable, trustworth
Cons: Didn't know they were coming to fill me up but that's ok!
