GREAT EAST VILLAGE PIZZA Fireworks in my mouth! more

Editorial review from GrubHub 11/15/2013

I ordered at like 4am , so I didn't expect the best results, but to my surprise the Small/Med Pepperoni was pretty good... semi thin crust, was pretty greasy but flavorful . The chicken roll I got was not on point though, hard bread and tasted like all cheese and no chicken. Also requested the delivery man knock on the door and not ring the doorbell, an he rang the doorbell but not end of the world. All in all - the pizza was good more

Not Good 4/15/2009

I go here once in a while since it's right near my apartment, but the pizza really isn't very good. The crust is almost always soggy. They're a bit skimpy on the cheese. And the staff is usually pretty slow (a couple times on the cell phone chatting with a friend). Pros: convenient location Cons: not very good pizza more

This pizza is to die for! 6/8/2008

First of all, this place is all about the pizza. There isn't anywhere where to sit, there isn't even any air conditioning, there's no decor really, it's just a little kitchen and a counter, but that's the beauty of it. The pies are huge, FULL of ingredients, and very fresh. I had the chicken bbq pizza with crispy and tender chicken chunks throughout. My friend had the Hawaiin and was extremely pleased with the added level of care and creativity put into it. In his words ""Hawaiin pizza usually has ham with the pineapple but these guys took it a step further and loaded this thing with bacon bits!"" Pros: They pack thier pizza with all the best toppings Cons: only go for the pizza more

Best Pizza 12/6/2007

Used to live on the Upper Eastside of NYC, and couldn't wait to get down to the East Village to get a slice of the best pizza in NYC. This place was originally recommended by Cavo and Lionel of the Toasters. Throws all of the Original Rays out of the water. And don't forget the garlic salt. Pros: Best ever more

Not only is the pizza horrible, and the restaurant dirty, they are thieves. I gave them a $20 and they said I gave them a $5. I would not eat here again if they were the only pizza place in nyc. Cons: they are thieves more

Satisifies late-night food craving 10/1/2005

Great for a late-night snack after a night of bar-hopping around EV. Better than the other pizza places a few blocks away, not too greasy. Pros: Cheap Cons: Dirty inside more
