We unfortunately had a less than pleasant experience with Stonemasters. We had recently bought a short-sale, and the existing granite countertops in the kitchen was less than ideal, so we wanted to fix what we already had. The previous owners left 7 slabs of granite, so if new pieces needed to be cut, we had the material. I was very pleased when I called Dean, and he said he would be more than happy to come and look at our situation, since every other company we called only installed new countertops. He came out a few days later and gave us a bid. We decided to hire Dean for the job. \r
Originally, the project was supposed to be completed in a month. It took 6 months to complete the project. On the day of the granite installation, Thursday, (which was only supposed to take ONE day), they measured the granite incorrectly and said they would finish the next day. The next day, Friday, while carrying in a slab, they crack the countertop. They said they couldn't come back until Monday. They didn't make it. Or Tuesday, They installed the countertops on Wednesday. For 6 days I was without a kitchen.\r
The end result was average at best. The seams are very noticeable, and they left scuffs all over the granite. There was no compensation or apologies given for the inconveniences of not having a kitchen for 6 days. \r
We definitely felt like we were on the back burner with Stonemasters, which is a shame, since we have countertops in 3 of our bathrooms that need to be recut. We will not be hiring this company again.
