My first appointment with Dr Kimble of Pediatric Associates was the worst experience I have ever had with health care (and I spent the last 5 years with military health care)! \r
The office staff are unfriendly, and the office itself is more like an ER than a pediatrician's office. There are no toys anywhere--nothing for the waiting children to play with. \r
The doctor was running 90 minutes late and no one informed me of this or even apologized! I spent 45 minutes in the exam room with my three year old and there was nothing for us to do. No books, no toys...the only thing in the exam room other than medical equipment was an antique model airplane on a high shelf. So not only were there no toys to play with, they had a you-can't-touch-this toy TAUNTING my son.\r
I did everything right for the appointment--I arrived 25 minutes early, I was polite to the staff...and finally 45 minutes after my appointment time I approached one of the staff members and asked if my son would be seen soon. She informed me that that doctor was running an hour and a half behind. No apology, no explanation. When I told her that we'd like to leave and would not be coming back, there was still no apology, and I couldn't believe what complete disregard the staff shows for their clients.
