Very nice but expensive!! 5/22/2006

I have been to several "kid" shows at the State Theater.The theater is very nice and relatively close to a parking lot(you have to pay).It has an "old" time feel to it.I would describe it as "grand". We sat in the balcony both times and the view was just fine.My only complaint is that it is so darn expensive! I'd suggest parents with kids just go to the civic center shows instead and save yourself some money. more

State Theatre 4/15/2006

I have been to this venue for 2 concerts. The acoustics are okay. The view is amazing. It is an old theatre, so there are beautiful painted scenes above the stage. A nice humble atmosphere to this place. Unfortunately, it was recently temporarily closed down due to fire hazards. The fire exit were not efficient. So hopefully once they fix this problem it will be an even more enjoyable venue to go to for events! more
