Standard Parking is used in my apartment building. For the most park the workers are friendly. I have had major issues with the managers of the parking service. The first is when I was charged double and they refused to release my car. This was the first time I had an issues and after arguing with the person in charge I finally paid the extra money so they would release my car. The second time I had an issue was when I was waiting in line to get my car. I gave the person working my ticket and payment just to be told I owe them more money. I refused to pay due to the fact that I had been waiting in line to pay when the time went over. They were trying to charge me 9 dollars for 2 minutes. They would not release my car until I paid. I refused and asked to speak with the manager. I was told that the manager was not there. I asked that they call him. After having to push the issue for 10 minutes the worker eventually called the manager who refused to speak with me and refused to release my car. I eventually paid the extra money and will be sending a letter to the corporate office. I will never use Standard Parking, time and time again they have ripped me off. The money is not the issue, it is the point that they rip you off then hold you car hostage until you finally give up. They charge you money that you do not owe then will not release your car. Never use this service if you have a choice; especially the 1130 South Michigan Ave. Garage, Roland Ajanaku has the worst customer service skills I have ever encountered.
