I've been a loyal customer of Sprintz in the past, mainly because of their good selection of quality furniture, but lately I've consistently run into two problems that have made me consider taking my business elsewhere.
The first is the utter lack of knowledge from the majority of their employees. Most of them don't know much about what Sprintz offers, especially stuff that's not out on the floor, and a lot of them don't know much about furniture in general. Recently I was looking for chairs and really wanted a durable fabric; one saleswoman told me she had no idea what the cleaning codes on the swatches meant because each designer uses different codes. Well, when I went home and Googled it, turns out cleaning codes are universal across the industry! Seems like a pretty basic thing a salesperson should know. For how much Sprintz charges for their furniture, you'd expect salespeople who could really inform you about your options.
The other issue is Sprintz' total unwillingness to EVER negotiate on price. Like I said, I'm a loyal customer...my sectional, queen-sized bed, living room entertainment center and living room table are all from Sprintz. Recently I was in the store to buy two accent chairs, but balked when a $200 up charge I wasn't originally told about was added on to the order. I've been saving for these chairs for a long time, and a $200 up charge per chair was just too much for my budget. I told them that, and they basically just shrugged. No offer to talk to a manager or anything. They let me walk away from what would've been an over $1300 sale because of a few hundred dollars.
I've contacted a manager about my issues in an effort to let them fix it, but have received no response. What I've learned from all this is that Sprintz obviously doesn't care about their customers, even loyal ones. I'll be taking my money elsewhere.
