The Springfield Regional Arts Council (SRAC) connects people & the arts. It supports some of the most prominent visual, performing, literary and film/media arts organizations within 27 counties, the largest outreach of any in the state of Missouri. The Creamery Arts Center, a City-owned building located in Jordan Valley park, is a community gathering place, available to all area arts organizations, artists & patrons. The facilities include an exhibition hall, arts library, film editing bays, arts classrooms and board room. There is a shared costume shop and set design/fabrication studio managed by Springfield Little Theatre. Also located in and around the Park are Mediacom Ice Park, Hammons Field Ball Park, a convention hotel, the Expo Center and a 970-space Car Park.
The Creamery Arts Center is home to Springfield Ballet, Springfield Regional Opera, Springfield Regional Arts Council, Springfield Symphony Orchestra, Missouri Literary Festival, Springfield Community Center and Care to Learn and the Springfield Little Theatre Costume Shop. Arts Council Memberships are available. The Creamery Arts Center is open to the public and hosts workshops, classes, receptions and board meetings for numerous arts and cultural agencies. There is a monthly rotating exhibition of visual art, and the gallery offers an opening reception during First Friday Art Walk. The Springfield Little Theatre Costume Shop offers costume rentals.
