You won't see this restaurant being written up in New York or Gourmet magazines...doesn't matter at all. If you are a true fan of real Spanish food, not some made-up Spanish/French/Asian fusion thing....then this is the one restaurant in midtown Manhattan that you want to eat at. The booths are getting worn out, the lighting and fans are old, the carpet is worn.....and it is all absolutely PERFECT!! Make certain that you go with someone, or a group, so that you can share the dishes. It really doesn't matter what you order, everything is excellent...and, everytime you go back, it will always be as good.....I've been going for well over 15 years....it just doesn't change...never a bad meal. Ane, please, have Juan make you a pitcher of sangria...some of the best in the city.
Pros: Honestly prepared Spanish food...
Cons: The restaurant is old....gotta deal with that
