When you stay in Waimea, expect to pay premium prices for your food. Spago at the Four Seasons (a Wolfgang Puck restaurant) is no exception. We ate there during the first night of our stay at the Four Seasons. The service was attentive and the ambiance was very nice, with an almost Tuscan feeling to the restaurant and gorgeous ocean views to boot. My husband and I both tried local fish dishes (you can't get fresher fish than a piece of ono caught off Maui) and were pleased. We did feel, however, that Spago was a tad overrated compared to a few other uspcale restaurants we dined at. Ferraro's, also at the Four Seasons, is another terrific choice. Still, all in all, it was a great meal.
