Spa Envy

I have been going to Spa Envy for waxing and the occasional pedicure for several years now. I don't know what it is about their waxing (the wax itself? the technique?) but I swear to God it's the only place I can get my brows waxed without getting a terrible rash afterwards. The pedicures are pretty standard fare but at a good price. Also, they've moved to a new location (by Azteca on 25th), making parking a non-issue, so now it's even better! I've been a loyal patron of Spa Envy for years because their manicures and pedicures are consistently good. It's clean, they do a thorough job, and the space is comfortable (and modern since they moved to the new location). The one thing they could and should do better is customer service. The owner is rude, rarely greets patrons (even regulars) with a friendly hello, and does not create a welcoming experience. If they did better in this area, they would knock the socks off Julep next door. The main thing differentiating Julep and Spa Envy is the level of customer service.... Julep does customer service right and charges twice the price for the same spa services. Spa Envy could bring in (and bring back) more customers by simply improving their customer service skills (BE NICE!).... it wouldn't cost them anything and would definitely increase customer satisfaction. Get the stone spa pedicure - it will be the best hour of your life! The staff are welcoming and this is the best kept secret in Seattle. Located right behind UVillage it's convenient too. Far better than manicures/pedicures at other spas, and about 1/2 the price! They have a great open area to go with girlfriends too! I have been to many high end nail salons and waxing salons that were expensive. I found Spa Envy four years ago due to curiosity when I walked by the salon. I met the owner Jennifer and had a manicure. It was better than any I have had at the high end salons. I then had a pedicure and it was the best I have ever had. The prices are very reasonable and much less than the high end salons. Jennifer is a stickler for cleanliness and good service by her staff. I feel so pampered when there. Spa Envy is by far my favorite place in Seattle to get a pedicure. Excellent service, excellent price, and superbly done! I've never had an issue with my polish chipping off. The atmosphere is perfect, there's no chatty cell phone conversations going on (love that!), and the employees are very pleasant. The spa is very clean and the utensils are sterile. I highly recommend Spa Envy for getting your nails done. You'll be pleasantly surprised at the results as well as the great price! Pros: Service, Price, Atmosphere, Appointments after 5pm more

Had a spa manicure and pedicure (their typical manicure/pedicure package) that lasted 1-1/2 hours. Not sure what the last reviewer was talking about. Pedicure was 45 minutes long. Manicure about 30. My manicure has lasted much longer than typical ones...no chips to be found and I'm really tough on my nails. Toes look great, too. The facility is clean/safety conscious. I recommend Spa Envy for its value. more
