Wasn't that impressed 3/28/2006

I received a gift certificate for a massage at the Spa at the Crescent and looked forward to using it for ages. When I finally got around to it, I have to say I was quite disappointed. The intake process is very "cookie cutter" and doesn't make you feel special or taken care of at all. In fact, no one showed me around the locker room ... where the slippers and socks are, etc. It was not very relaxing to have no idea what was going on. In addition, my massage therapist was unable to perform his job well, for reasons which I won't go into. I was very surprised that the Crescent would retain someone who cannot give an adequate massage. Had I paid for the massage, I would have been livid. more

The office building, which consists of Indiana limestone with insulated double-pane reflective clear glass in an aluminum frame, is noted for its architecture. Leading sectors of business and industry make their home here, especially big-name investment banks and other financial services providers. The office's corporate neighbors include several private equity firms. Located at the edge of Dallas' central business district, the office space is convenient to get to and many of the city's amenities are within easy reach.

The whirlpool and cold plunge are nestled away in their own blue-tiled room, affording extra privacy when disrobing for a dip. The 75-minute kur treatments exfoliate and massage with a combination of medicinal herbs, minerals and muds. A handful of multistep "ritual" treatments involve extra touches like specialty teas and candlelit flower-petal baths.
