WORST PEOPLE TO GET AHOLD OF EVER!! 12/11/2008

I?m 22 weeks I?m bleeding and leaving messages and no one will call me back. The 2 doctors voice mails for there assistants say they are assisting another customer at this time. YEAH RIGHT. I have been calling for 4 hours every 15 to 30 minutes there is no way. I leave a message and I?m told they will call me back within 2 days. Please people this is crazy. Then they also have the nerve to say for immediate assistance press 0. I tried that over and over and it just rings and brings you back to the main queue. This is ridiculous that you can?t talk to a person. I am changing doctors and going to a Dr. that might actually care and hey maybe ill be lucky enough to find a actual doctor to see instead of the nurse practitioner that I have only seen so far. What a wonderful place to be for medical in NV this is the worst treatment ever. We need good old fashion medical care hence CARE I would love someone to care about me and my unborn child. Clearly they do not. If you don?t believe my experience and you have nothing to do try it for yourself.459-7424 option 3 then try option 1 or 2 or 3 and my favorite after selecting option 3 then 3 then press 0 and you can start all over again. I will never ever go to them again except for now that ill be sitting in urgent care for 8 hrs to find out what?s going on with me. Pros: Nice nurse practitioner Cons: THEY ARE HORRIBLE TO SPEAK WITH and bad with appointment times always behind. more

southwest ob/gyn is the worst I have ever been too. Even if you have an emergency you never can get in to see a doctor they will tell you to go into the urgent care. I feel like why would you pay a co pay twice for the same thing. When I was pregnant with my baby I was having alot of problems and I was since the APN she recommended that I see a doctor on my next visit, they had the nerve to tell me they couldn't fit me into anyone schedule. I had to throw a fit and say that if something happened to my baby I would take them to court. They finally gave me an appointment. The doctor recommened that I be induced and said he would call me to tell me what time to go to the hospital no one called so I called them and they told me that I am suppose to be at the hospital that night it was crazy. I just called recently to get appt. and they said that I can get in until August what a mess. I have scheduled an appt. now with Green Valley ob/gyn associates. Pros: good doctors Cons: doctors don't have any open schedules for patients more

Awful, awful, awful 10/9/2007

I have had so many bad experiences with SWM that it would take too long to go through them all. The worst was when I had suffered a miscarriage and the front desk would not write me into my Doctor's schedule when I called in tears. The women at the front desk was very unsympathetic and uncaring and simply stated that I needed to go to Quick Care. I told her that I did not need to because this was my second miscarriage and I knew at what point I would have to go to a Quick Care. She simply reconnected me with scheduling and I was sent clear across town to see some doctor that I have never gone to before. When I had my baby about a year later I was experienceing something very odd a few days home from the hospital. I left two voice messeges with my Doctors nurse explaining what was happening and just wanted to ask a few questions. I waited by the phone all day waiting for a her call and she never did. \r Just recently I was informed that my son's pediatrician has left SWM and so I needed to schedule his Well check appointment with another Doctor. That appointment with the new doctor was cancelled by the office and when I called to reschedule the women was just plain rude. \r About 75% of the time the scheduling department is not friendly and the front desk acts bored and bothered by the fact that you are actually tring to get some medical care. I have long since ceased to expect friendly, caring customer service from the Southwest Medical Staff. The one good thing about SWM was my son's Pediatrician but she is no longer there. \r If I did not have this HMO, I would have gone elsewhere years ago but, unfortunately, I have no choice but to seek healthcare at SWM. more

Average Patient Care 5/16/2007

I feel the Dr.'s that work for Southwest Medical are in a very tight perdictament because they have to see so many patient's in a day that I feel that they don't give their all to each patient...if your not dying they get you in and out as quickly as possible, and I feel you they don't have time to really listen to you. You just feel like a number. Dr.'s that work under the umbrella of S.W. Medical that are in private practice do care about their patient's. But S.W. Medical try their hardest to push you into seeing their Dr.'s. Pros: Friendly Cons: No time for patient's more
