I have had so many bad experiences with SWM that it would take too long to go through them all. The worst was when I had suffered a miscarriage and the front desk would not write me into my Doctor's schedule when I called in tears. The women at the front desk was very unsympathetic and uncaring and simply stated that I needed to go to Quick Care. I told her that I did not need to because this was my second miscarriage and I knew at what point I would have to go to a Quick Care. She simply reconnected me with scheduling and I was sent clear across town to see some doctor that I have never gone to before. When I had my baby about a year later I was experienceing something very odd a few days home from the hospital. I left two voice messeges with my Doctors nurse explaining what was happening and just wanted to ask a few questions. I waited by the phone all day waiting for a her call and she never did. \r
Just recently I was informed that my son's pediatrician has left SWM and so I needed to schedule his Well check appointment with another Doctor. That appointment with the new doctor was cancelled by the office and when I called to reschedule the women was just plain rude. \r
About 75% of the time the scheduling department is not friendly and the front desk acts bored and bothered by the fact that you are actually tring to get some medical care. I have long since ceased to expect friendly, caring customer service from the Southwest Medical Staff. The one good thing about SWM was my son's Pediatrician but she is no longer there. \r
If I did not have this HMO, I would have gone elsewhere years ago but, unfortunately, I have no choice but to seek healthcare at SWM.
