I was a very satisfied customer with South Bay Appliance. I had a service company out to my home a few weeks back, they checked my microwave and gave me this ridiculous estimate to fix my microwave, so after talking it over with my spouse, we decided to go to sears and purchase a new one. Once we had the new microwave home, we did ask this company if they would install the new microwave, of course they did not do that either. Sometime back I used South Bay Appliance to install my double oven thermadore, so I thought I would try them again. The technician came to the home in the window the office gave me, and before he took my old microwave out, just out of curiosity, I asked him if he wouldn't mind taking a look at the old microwave, which was only 3 years old, and he went ahead and did. At my surprise, the technician asked me why I went and purchased a new one being this only had a burned wire. H fixed the burned wire, the microwave worked again. Not only did South Bay Appliance save me 600.00 because I returned the new microwave, but they also only charged me a service call being it was a simple fix. I tried to give the nice gentleman a tip, but he refused to take it and said he was just doing his job. I would recommend this company to anybody, I have read some of the negative stuff out here, and have also read some of the good stuff on here. In my opinion, anybody that has been in business for the amount of time this company has, it is impossible for the to get rated a 1, people are so demanding and unreasonable now day's , but then again, there is no such thing as a company being perfect either, so in this case I will give them a 4. Again, I really appreciate people like this, and hope that other's can see what they did for me.
