I recently stayed here for a get togther and let me say that if I had a choice this would not have been the place to say. It was horrible. The room I had stayed in was a King Bed room which of course with a King Bed is higher priced then a room with two double beds. The first experience was with getting into the room iteself. The door stuck when you opened it and scrapped against the floor causing me to have to put my whole body into the door to try and get it open. An older person/child would never be able to get it opened. The bottom was chipping as well. But that is not the worst, when I opened the door the entire room stunk so bad like cat urine I could hardly breathe. I left the room hoping that after I returned from the winery tours it may clear up. Well upon my return it was still a horrible odor. I went to the front desk and explained the situation asking for a different room. At first I was looked at as if I was crazy and the woman who I had told pretty much looked at me as if she did not care what I was asking. She quickly paid no mind to the smell comment, said sorry there is nothing I can do we have no more rooms left but you could move into a bigger room for extra money. I walked out. They have all these signs up about fines for smoking in rooms but I would have taken a smoke smell over cat urine anyday. Also the rooms are horrendous, they are so outdated, filthy, and gives you the creeps, you dont even want to lay in the bed afraid you may catch something. With comments I had heard at the wineries that this hotel gets booked quickly they are obviously getting money should put it into the hotel. Even walking on the beach outside, which is gorgeous view, there was garbage all along the beach which was disgusting. They cant even clean up there own beach. I had to check out early later that night, could not bear to stay there. I basically stayed for the party I was attending and left. They got the money out of me, I didnt even turn the bed down!
