I really wanted to like this restaurant (really, I did) because the Ranchero Skirt Steak breakfast is pretty good and the restaurant decor is bright and breezy. We decided to give them a second chanc as our first experience was average. First of all, they sat us underneath one of the speakers which was blaring music loud enough for us to have to shout, while sitting elbow to elbow. Not a fan of loud, bumping music at 10AM on Saturday. I ordered a vanilla espresso milkshake, which came to the table at room temperature, despite the fact that ice cream is one of its main ingredients. I sent it back, but it's replacement had the same watery consistency, only slightly colder. My skirt steak arrived with what can only be described as 'brown' guacamole. Yes, you know... it's the color it turns when it's a couple of days old. I complained to our clueless waitress... again. I pointed to the brown mush and asked her ""what do you suppose this is?"" She crinkled her nose at the mushy mound and said ""I think it's supposed to be guacamole."" I said, ""yes, it's SUPPOSED to be."" She offered to comp the coffee (and the darn milkshake too). The owner came out and explained that 'guacamole is made fresh everyday, but it turns that color when it sits under the heatlamp.' Having already complained a lot that morning, I stifled my screams of ""then don't put it under the heatlamp, lady!"" And apparently, we weren't the only table she had to come out and apologize to. She had inadvertently bumped into the plates of food destined for the table next to us, thus delaying the order further. Oy! Needless to say, we are never going back there again.
Pros: Pretty pretty restaurant, great parking.
Cons: Everything else...
