I consider myself to be a very fit person, but I usually stick to cardio stuff like running and kickboxing. My friends told me to go with them cuz I usually made fun of them for doing classes like pilates and yoga...how could such little movement be an actual work out?! Boy was I wrong. Pilates kicked my butt! I was tired at the end and was soooo sore for like a week after. It felt good to work muscles that never really got any attention before. I have a new appreciation for pilates and yoga people now.
